Temperley London Spring/Summer 2011

Temperley London's Spring/Summer 2011 collection, "Guinevere" takes you back to an era of courtly love and the legend of King Arthur, combining midieval dressing with modern romanticism and a glint of steel.

I love the intricately embroidered tulle and lace and ribbon cut into delicate panels to sculpt the body for a soft, feminine look, dominated by a white and blush palette.

Chain accessories adorn the looks and reinforce the theme. I always look forward to Temperley's dresses, gowns, leather jackets, belts and handbags each season.

Here are some of my favorite looks from Temperley London

Left: Mini oriana dress, butterfly harness, the quintel
Right: Valerie dress, blazon pouch

Trina dress coat, sovereign pouch, quintel waist belt

Mini cavalier dress, butterfly harness

Argent slip, laurenza leather jacket, oriana skirt, quintel necklace, quintel waist belt

Long mairam dress, butterfly harness

ALICE by Temperley Spring/Summer 2011 is inspired by Marie Antoinette, the "last Queen of France". The modern day Antoinette pieces include feminine gauzy maxi dresses, soft appliquéd tulles, sheer jaquards and intricate hand embroidered cottons mixed with black and tan leather.

The graphic zig zag print tunic is one of my favorites, along with the leather hip belts. Also among my favorites are two hot pink pieces that I didn't see during the presentation but saw in the lookbook - long mirabelle dress with delphine belt and mini mirabelle dress.
