renzo + kai Spring 2013 is inspired by the "Bon Vivant" attitude and the cafe society generation of the 1930s. Marlene Dietrich's cabaret singer in the 1930 film The Blue Angel, captures the joie de vivre and essence of the Renzo + Kai woman. The retro glamour of old Hollywood film sirens shines through with hand beaded and sequined tops and cocktail dresses. 1930s style is made modern with leather trim, suede cut outs and fringe detailing.
The palette features cream, salmon, mint, purple, taupe, copper and black and white. One of my favorite looks in the collection are the cream tux blazer and tuxedo shorts.
