Fashion Star winner Kara Laricks made her debut at New York Fashion Week with her Spring / Summer 2013 presentation at Pier 57. Her androgynous style is seen throughout her collection, on bowtie shirts and tux blouses, and adding a touch of femininity with a raw-edged ivory gown. The tux tail romper, tux blouse, matchbox play dress, collard blouse with corby tails short, playsuit and collared detailing on some of Kara's pieces round out my favorites. Let's not forget Kara's signature collar + tie accessory, which I would love to add to my wardrobe.
Kara applies cotton blend jacquard, cotton voile, gabardine, organza and silk charmeuse fabrics. Along with ivory, navy and black, the palette includes a goldenrod/ivory print and a pop of orange.
