Charlotte Ronson Fall/Winter 2014 presentation took place at the Hub venue inside the Hudson Hotel on February 7th. The collection is a modern take on Little Lord Fauntleroy, telling the story of a cryptic and cute women compelled by mystery and darkness.
The handsome, feminine collection features bouclé sweaters, laser-cut leather dresses, A-line jackets and black-on-black leather rose embroidery complimented by elaborate lace, ruffles, sheer chiffon, mesh inserts and scalloped details.
Ronson's protagonist-muse is creative, smart, a tad bit spooky and a hopeless romantic, as seen through the collection's flower prints - poppies on plush velvet and rose print on crepe.
The presentation included hair by Stephanie Hayes for Batiste and jewelry and headpieces by Tuleste. The hair styled in low buns and black and gold headpieces added to a romantic feel. Skin care was provided by skyn ICELAND, makeup by Yadim for Maybelline New York and nails by Gina Edwards for KISS Products, Inc., featuring red scallop nails. Additional accessories included tights by HUE and shoes by Modern Vice. Music by Samantha Ronson.
As I was leaving the Charlotte Ronson presentation, I had the pleasure of running into Cara Santana and Jesse Metcalfe. Such a beautiful and lovely couple!
