Lela Rose Fall 2011

Lela Rose Fall 2011 is inspired by contemporary artist Gerhard Richter. Blurred check printed cashmere, plaid silk chiffon and other prints in the collection capture Richter's style of obscure imagery and hazy, filmy treatments.

Sapphire, smoke, deep green and copper create a painterly palette. The collection includes different fabrics and textures - dip dyed silk, printed feathers, filament embroidered mohair, hand-loomed organza, burnished brocade and veiled tulle.

Among the gorgeous Lela Rose dresses and gowns I see every season on the runway, are must-have Lela Rose for Payless shoes! The fall collection includes a Mary Jane pump, Mary Jane wedge, a high-vamp pump, a mid-calf bootie, and a classic dress heel in black, navy, camel and smoke grey.

The Allerton is a classic Mary Jane - with a round-toe upper with a double-tiered sculptured platform sole. A chunkier wood heel is enhanced by a unique fabric detail inlaid into the wood.

The Ashland is similar to the Allerton but with a distinctive wood stacked, tiered wedge sole that gives it a 'pump with a wedge heel' look. The sole is made of two wood portions that fit together like puzzle pieces, connected by a wave detail of inlaid fabric, giving it a sculptural vibe. Definitely one of my favorites!

The Hubbard has a double-tiered sculptured platform sole and a chunkier straight heel with contrasting inlaid fabric detail.

The Fulton like the Hubbard has the same silhouette, featuring the up-the-camp upper design accented with a fringe kilt and tassel detail.

The Madison has a mid-calf shaft height combined with an upper featuring a wool flannel panel detailed with mini square laser cut perforations.

The Monroe is a classic Mary Jane dress pump with a round toe, ankle strap and a basket weave detail at the heel counter that reveals the back of the lower ankle.

Expect to see coordinating handbags wih the Fall '11 collection, available in Payless stores and Payless.com in early September 2011.
