Lela Rose Spring 2011

Lela Rose Spring 2011 is inspired by the city of Lima, Peru and its diverse mix of vibrant hand loomed textiles, modern architecture and iconic patterns.

Hammered gauze, Cajamarca printed silk and ombre stripe in a palette of fluorite, gypsum green, day glow and clay are seen throughout the pattern and texture-focused collection.

Details include linear banded embroidery, miraflores sequins and inti embroidered tulle cutouts.

This is my favorite Lela Rose collection to date. Here are some of my favorite looks.

Still centering on the inspiration of Lima, Peru, Lela Rose for Payless Spring '11 runway collection includes 5 key styles:

Loreto is a striated wedge heel inspired by Lima's hiillside landscape where homes are nestled in horizontal lines across the vertical mountain side. Loreto's peep-toe upper is a modern take on Mary Jane with feminine curved cut-outs, piping detail and ankle strap. This style is scene on the runway in uppers of silk faille - colors include bitter lemon and clay grey-brown.

Magdalena
features the same silhouette and upper design as Loreto, yet accented with a rich brown raffia wrapped textile on the wedge sole - a strong nod to Peru's heritage in textiles. Magdalena is featured in the jewel green faille upper.

Olaya
is a strappy wedge sandal featuring a T-strap upper design and wedge sole that is wrapped in a navy and clay woven textile. In the single design of Olaya, one can strongly see the old-meets-new influence of Rose's Spring '11 collection and its strong traditional Peruvian influences. Olaya is featured in red faille upper.

Canevaro
is a T-strap dress heel with a platform sole, a heel counter strap and a raffia linen upper featuring straps with heavily textured finishes. Canevaro is seen on the runway in tonal colorations including clay grey-brown.

Olivos
is the cocktail shoe of the Spring '11 collection featuring a platform sole, simple T-strap all-satin upper and a metal bar detail that suspends the T-strap at the toe. Olivos is scene on the runway in flesh and black.

Be ready to see the Spring '11 Lela Rose for Payless collection in Payless stores and Payless.com in February, along with coordinating handbags.
