Catherine Malandrino Fall / Winter 2013

For Fall 2013, Catherine Malandrino presents graphic shapes inspired by Art Deco elegance and style of French designer Ruhlmann. 

The glamourous collection titled "L E N O R M A N D I E", includes elongated silhouette seen on funnel neck collar coats, mid calf pencil skirts and long, lean dresses. 

Tones of absinthe, burgundy and midnight blue create a warm color palette. Fabrics include leather, cashmere knit, rubberized wool and double silk satin crepe. My favorites include the black wool guipure bustier with fitted pant, drapey quilted coat, embroidered leather and black velvet embroidered nude tulle pieces.

Lela Rose Fall 2013

Lela Rose Fall 2013 centers on the Brothers Grimm Fairy Tales book, with its beauty, dark humor and charm. The collection is filled with delicate black lace, feather embroidery, jewel embroidered necklines, woodcut jacquard and  moonlit and pearl printed silk. Midnight Velveteen, love me not silk twill and raven lace tell tales of secrets, romance and tragedy. 

Illustrated jacquards and silk twills in golden, juniper, mercury and willow contrast against snow threaded organza, spun sugar brocade and blush ribbon embroidered fil coupe. Persimmon and autumn plaid prints and florals were also seen on the runway. 

Looks appeared in longer lengths, with dresses and skirts falling below-the-knee. My favorite looks include the embroidered jersey peplum top paired with the ginger dot wool straight skirt and the black enchanted fil coupe full skirt halter dress and blush ribbon embroidered fil coupe halter dress.

Christian Siriano Autumn/Winter 2013

Christian Siriano Autumn/Winter 2013 is inspired by the golden age of the Russian Opera, and the lavish interiors of Saint Petersburg's Mariinsky Theatre. The jewel-toned collection is glamorous and opulent in  embossed jacquards, stretch brocades and beaded metallics, with filigree embroidery and antique chevron sequin detailing. 

The Christian Siriano for Payless Gold collection is regal and royal with an 1880s influence, featuring pumps with an exaggerated heel shape and hammered gold metal ornament and crystal ball ring details, a platform ankle strap, a military-esque bootie and an over-the-knee tall boot with military-inspired lacing hook details among the twelve styles seen on the runway.

GLOSSYBOX x The Man Repeller Winter Survival Kit

I was so excited when I received the GLOSSYBOX Winter Survival Kit in the mail as it contained several of my favorite beauty brands! This January box was curated by Leandra Medine, fashion blogger/creator of The Man Repeller. 

Now that fashion week is over and I was able to rest up over the long weekend, I've finally gotten a chance to delve into my January GLOSSYBOX. Let me just say how much I love deluxe sample size products. Not only do you get a chance to try out what may become your new favorite product but it's also great to keep in your purse, leave at the office or pack for a weekend trip or vacation.

I'm going to keep Fresh Umbrian Clay Mattifying Serum at the office for touch-ups and shine control before going out. It's also supposed to tone, hydrate and minimize pores. I'm already a big fan of Fresh Soy Face Cleanser and Sugar Lip Treatment SPF15, so I know I will love this serum too. The Prime Style Extender is actually one of my favorite Living Proof products so I'm excited to now have a mini version of it. When I style my hair, my curls last twice as long with this hair primer. I also can't wait to try OPI "Can't Let Go" in a gorgeous shimmery purple. The Vincent Longo Lipstain SPF Lipstick in "Americana" is perfect to wear for a night out after work, when I want to switch to a bold red.

Herve Leger by Max Azria Fall 2013

Herve Leger by Max Azria Fall 2013 is inspired by artist duo Les Lalanne, who mixes different elements of reality, nature and a sense of imagination into their artwork. It's all in the details - from engineered jacquards, caviar and croco puffa technique to geometric, waterfall and encrusted beading and stud details, transforming the bandage dresses and separates into sexy, opulent works of art.  

Gunmetal, malachite, midnight, alabaster and black dominate the color palette. The collection features bandage zip-front dresses, jackets and skirts, crop tops and leggings, jersey sheer crewneck tops layered underneath, goatskin/fox fur hoodies and leather peplum harnesses. The looks are accessorized with geometric and asymmetrical clutches, black leather boots and ankle-cuff booties, and caps with bandage detail for an urban edge.
