Tasty Tweet Up with NYC Healthy Bites

On Friday, March 30th, I attended the first Tasty Tweet Up event hosted by new foodie lovers cart NYC Healthy Bites and Golden Media Relations at Garmento Lab Showroom at 241 West 37th Street.

Guests were treated to a menu of organic beef, chicken and vegan sausage dogs. Including diablo dog, greek dog and german dog. During the tweet up, top online editors and bloggers tweeted their favorite hot dog, with the overall pick being the diablo dog. The diablo dog is definitely my favorite, with diced tomatoes, onions, spicy cilantro sauce and optional shredded cheese.

The NYC Healthy Bites cart can be seen around the city daily from 11am -7pm seven days a week, with hot dogs at $4.50 and sausages at $6.00, toppings included. "We are often at Columbus Circle" says Kathy Jankovic, co-founder of NYC Healthy bites. Hungry consumers can find out where they are daily by following them on twitter @nychealthybites.

On March 22nd, Stuart Kaplan, M.D. celebrated the launch of his luxury skincare brand, KAPLAN MD, at Bergdorf Goodman with guests such as Tinsley Mortimer, Hannah Bronfman, Peter Davis and Lara Meiland Shaw.

Attendees enjoyed an evening of cocktails and beauty at the famed BG Restaurant on the seventh floor of Bergdorf Goodman.

NYDJ Spring 2012

NYDJ (Not Your Daughters Jeans) Spring 2012 is full of colored denim, in hues ranging from clover green and pomegranate to purple lily. The newest arrivals include the Alisha skinny ($104) jean and Emma pencil skirt ($89), which I'm happy to say both come in a size 0P!

Instead of going with colored denim, I went with the Alisha skinny jean in the grey lizard print ($110), which I wore the other day with a cobalt blue knit top and matching wedge shoes. The jean actually fit more like a boyfriend jean on me, with a super comfy fit.

Look out for some crop denim styles with rhinestone detail at the hem

Kotur Spring / Summer 2012

Kotur Spring / Summer 2012 is a work of art, mainly comprised of clutches and miniaudieres. There are sleek and modern elements, as seen on the Gerschel envelope clutch, with glossy strips of perspex and chunky gold turn-lock detailing on the flap.

The miniaudieres feature snakeskin, embossed metal croc, quilted leather and brocade fabrics. Throughout Kotur's pieces is the signature brocade lining and magnetic closure detailing.

Another favorite is the Pearce Miniaudiere, inspired by architecture in polished metal with abstract panelling, interspersed with perspex pieces. The Mirando Tinalak fabric clutch is dyed and hand woven in the Philippines, with polished black Onyx stone clasps.

Blush Lingerie Launch Hosted by Carson Kressley at Bloomingdale's Soho

On March 29th, celebrity fashion guru Carson Kressley hosted a presentation for the launch of Blush Lingerie at Bloomingdale's Soho, taking guests through styling tips on wearing innerwear as outerwear. Some of the styling tips showed models wearing a bra under a sheer blouse, peeking out under a button down blouse, pairing a chemise with a cardigan, or wearing the Spellbound polka dot print push up bra poolside with a fitted, high-waisted short for a 60s retro look.

Using models and mannequins, he demonstrated how to power up a ready-to-wear wardrobe with lingerie and shared secrets to finding the right fit with any bra. While taking guests through sexy lingerie looks, Carson also shared some Twitter responses to "What Makes You Blush?". Also, unveiled at the event was the hottest new hardcover book, Second Skin: The Exotic Art of Lingerie, featuring Blush Lingerie on the cover, which was the gift with $100 Blush Lingerie purchase.

Wei Lang Spa Opening at the Devachan Salon

On Wednesday, March 28th, I celebrated the opening of the new Wei Lang Spa at the Devachan Salon, located at 425 Broome Street at the corner of Crosby. This luxury spa includes facials, massages, acupuncture, medi-spa and body treatments as well as manicure and pedicure services.

I indulged in an amazing Sodashi Pure Radiance Facial ($200), which is brand new, so you won't even find it on the standard spa menu yet. Wei Lang Spa is one of the exclusive spa locations in New York to now offer access to this luxe, highly effective Australian skincare line with the Sodashi Pure Radiance Facial.

Cleo was my aesthetician for my 45 minute facial (the standard facial is 60 minutes) and she was absolutely lovely. She assessed my skin and was very knowledgeable of the Sodashi products. I found this facial to be deeply relaxing and therapeutic, with aromatic warm facial compresses that soften and exfoliate, and a nurturing mask, rich in herbal extracts to purify and hydrate the skin. I felt very refreshed and revitalized, leaving my face with a natural glow.
