Recharging with Zappos.com at New York Fashion Week

On September 7th and 8th, during New York Fashion Week, guests recharged at the Zappos.com lounge across from Lincoln Center. Fashionistas were able to take a break between fashion shows with complimentary juices from BluePrint Cleanse, charging stations and massages.

At the lounge I interviewed Shyloh Wehner, Senior Buyer - Zappos Merchandising about shopping for petite clothing at Zappos.com.

Springtime Blush Tones Featuring Habitual Denim and mark

You usually won't find me wearing blush tones or polka dots, but I couldn't resist pairing Habitual's Angelina skinny jeans with mark's Connect the Dots scarf. For coated denim, these jeans are actually really lightweight, comfortable and stretchy. I am impressed with the quality of the scarf and the longer length definitely allows for more styling options. Also new is mark's Color Me In eye crayon in Mint Candy. The eye crayon easily glides over the lid and along the lash line. It stays on all day long without fading or creasing.

Eyelet Shirt: American Eagle
Shoes: Nina Shoes Elianos, Royal Silver Royal Reptile, was $99.00, now $49.00
Watch: BCBGMAXAZRIA
Sunglasses: Simply Vera Vera Wang Cat's Eye Sunglasses, Nude, was $34.00 now $22.99
Leather Tote: MCM for Assouline, $450.00
Eye Crayon: mark Color Me In, Mint Candy, $12.00

Spring 2013 Collection Preview - Eileen Fisher / Rory Beca / Nieves Lavi / Patricia Nash / David Kahn Jeans

Last month I attended a Spring 2013 collections preview, featuring Eileen Fisher, Rory Beca, Nieves Lavi, Patricia Nash and David Kahn. After hair and makeup touchups, I had a fun photo shoot accessorized with one of Eileen Fisher's scarves. Eileen Fisher's scarves are perfect for spring, in lightweight silk, linen, modal and cotton fabrics with dip-dye, ombre and crinkle and metallic stripe details. The scarves come from artisans in different countries such as India, Ethiopa, Japan and Italy, incorporating shibori and handlooming techniques. Some other favorites from Eileen Fisher include long tunics and high-low tanks in petite sizes and leather totes and ballet flats.

Rory Beca and Nieves Lavi are both known for silk separates and dresses in bold colors and prints. This season I am particularly drawn to printed shorts and pants.

Patricia Nash makes handcrafted Italian leather handbags and shoes inspired by travel through Italy and Europe. One of my favorites is the neon colorblock Vago iPad Case ($128), which has a burnished edge finish.

Lucky Brand Fall 2012

Here's a look at Lucky Brand's Fall 2012 ad campaign, shot by world-renowned photographer Alasdair McLellan. The campaign, entitled 'See Denim Differently' features supermodels David Gandy and Magdalena Frackowiak.

I'm always looking for a new pair of skinny jeans with a slender, slim fit, like Lucky Brand's super stretch Charlie Skinny and Cate Stacked Skinny in colorful washes and feather and lace prints.

In addition to new denim fits, Lucky Brand Fall 2012 goes tribal with striking ikat and scarf prints on tie-front blouses, Mayan tops and pleated tanks. Animal prints are back for fall in cheetah, leopard and snakeskin prints. The fall collection also features 70s inspired peasant tops, lace and crochet detailing for a vintage feel and boho chic fringe crossbody and hobo bags.

Jewelry includes tassel and multi layer necklaces, peacock and owl pendants, chandelier and stone drop earrings, stackable rings and adjustable slide knot bracelets.

For shoes you'll find everything from sparkle or printed flats and colorblock wedges to western-inspired and biker booties and tall boots in distressed leather.

NYDJ Spring 2012

NYDJ (Not Your Daughters Jeans) Spring 2012 is full of colored denim, in hues ranging from clover green and pomegranate to purple lily. The newest arrivals include the Alisha skinny ($104) jean and Emma pencil skirt ($89), which I'm happy to say both come in a size 0P!

Instead of going with colored denim, I went with the Alisha skinny jean in the grey lizard print ($110), which I wore the other day with a cobalt blue knit top and matching wedge shoes. The jean actually fit more like a boyfriend jean on me, with a super comfy fit.

Look out for some crop denim styles with rhinestone detail at the hem
