Mara Hoffman Sample Sale Shopping Haul

So I made it to the last afternoon of the Mara Hoffman sample sale, where all items were 30% off of the sample sale price for the last day of the sale. Several people were allowed into the small fitting room at once, for a total of 10 minutes. Originally I went to the sale with the intention of getting a one piece bathing suit and a dress and ended up with a few more pieces. 

I ended up getting a Lattice Bustier One Piece for $52.50 (retails for $260), although the halter straps were missing, matching sarong scarf for $35 (retails for $100), Criss Cross Dress for $63 (retails for $298), Rainbow Flag Stripe Maxi dress for $80.50 (retails for $268), and a leaf ruffle top for $38.50 (retails for $185). 

This was the first Mara Hoffman sample sale I have been to that was hosted by 260 Sample Sale and I definitely look forward to the next one! As a reference, I included the original sample sale pricing at the start of the sale.

Mara Hoffman Fall 2015 at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week

Mara Hoffman Fall 2015 features jumpsuits, wool coats and longer silhouettes from cardigans and full skirts to dresses and gowns. There are plenty of allover prints, including starbasket, blue connector, strata and triad prints. The collection is detailed with tufted chiffon, embroidery and beading. 

Braided hair by Thomas Osborn + Adrianna Papaleo for Catwalk by TIGI were absolutely amazing! The smokey eye looks were by Lottie for Maybelline NY. Nails were by Alicia Torello for Zoya and jewelry was by Erin Considine.

Mara Hoffman Spring 2015 at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week

Mara Hoffman’s show is always stunning but this season, her crisp whites and bright colorful accents really popped. For Spring 2015 she has a mix of fun yellows, pinks and blues on matching separates for day and night, flowing maxi dresses, tailored shorts and unique bathing suits. Desert sunsets and a beachy vibe were two prominent inspirations you could see throughout her show. Any attention grabbing, bold fashionista would be the first one to pick up any of these statement pieces from Hoffman’s collection this season.

Mara Hoffman Fall 2014 at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week

This season, Mara Hoffman is inspired by the Bedouin warrior. As always, she delivers beautiful print maxi dresses, as well as a standout pieces like a black, silk strapless jumpsuit and camel intarsia sweater for Fall 2014.

Mara Hoffman Spring 2014 at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week

I'd have to agree with Mara Hoffman when she describes Spring 2014 as her 'brightest and boldest ever'. I've been attending Mara Hoffman's runway shows at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week since Fall 2009, when she shared the catwalk with Nicholas K and Sergio Davila for a 3-part show. Mara's designs are my favorite when it comes to flowy dresses with vibrant prints, and the multi-color chiffon maxi-dresses with side cutouts she sent down the runway are absolutely gorgeous. This season features a rainbow of colors with eye-shaped, serpent, geometric and prism prints.

Mara Hoffman Autumn/Winter 2013

For Autumn/Winter 2013, Mara Hoffman takes us on a journey with a traveling circus filled with "Gypsies, Tramps & Thieves," complete with unique detailing, embellishments and vibrant Caravan, Phoenix, Leopard Trickster and Suzani prints. My favorite of the prints, Midnight Caravan, a colorful grid of elephants and peacocks, is featured on a chiffon blouse and jersey cutout dress. The Suzani print is inspired by the traditional tribal textile from Central Asian countries, with the Poppy Suzani mixed with yellow, white and green.

The collection features leather tops and pants, chunky knits and intarsia sweaters as well as mini dresses and gowns. There is also cutout detailing and embroidered pieces with metal beading.
