On Thursday, August 19th, Levi’s® held a press event at their Soho store, to introduce Levi’s® Curve ID - their unique, customized fit system focusing on a woman's shape and proportions, not her size.

The three custom fits of the new line — Slight, Demi and Bold Curve, are based on the measurement between a woman’s hip and seat — the greater the difference, the more curvy the body. Pocket size and placement are created especially to enhance the derriere.

As soon as I got to the event one of the Curve ID fit specialists took me through my fit consultation and measured me to see which fit was right for me. I found that the measurements she was taking was not about my waist size, but about my body shape and degree of curve. I guessed my fit, which is Slight Curve. This fit is available as a skinny, straight or skinny boot. I preferred the skinny fit, so I was ushered over to that area where I can pick out which washes I wanted to try on. I was able to choose from black, or a medium or dark blue wash. I went with the dark blue (Glazed color). My pair was complimentary, but this wash /fit I chose is reasonably priced at $59.50. The price point for Levi’s® Curve ID is between $59.50 - $79.50.

My waist size is a 24, and unfortunately the available sizing in-store was 25, so it is a little big in the waist (nothing a belt won't fix!). I did notice that they do carry a 24 in this wash/style online at
levis.com. This skinny fit is more of a comfortable skinny, so it wasn't skin tight all over. It was fitted in the waist and hip and slightly looser in the leg (then again I am so tiny that there are many skinny jeans that fit loose on me!). If you are looking for a really snug fit, try Levi’s® 5 Pocket Legging - it's available online in size 0.

I think it's an innovative way to shop, especially for people with curves! I may be tiny, but I do have some slight curves!

Here's a look at all three fits. What's your Levi’s® Curve ID? You can
take the quiz at levis.com.

Slight Curve
- Defines your waist and enhances your curves
- Available in skinny, straight or skinny boot

Demi Curve
- Flatters your waist and smooths your shape
- Available in skinny, straight, skinny boot or boot

Bold Curve
- hugs your waist and no gaping or pulling
- available in skinny, straight or boot

Anzie Jewelry Fall 2010 Collection

I absolutely fell in love with Anzie Jewelry's Fall 2010 Collection when I attended the preview back in May. Anzie Jewelry is based on 'everyday luxury'. Each piece is handcrafted, using precious or semi-precious stones stones. These high quality gemstones come in a spectrum of colors, with a focus on blues and greens for fall. White topaz is the most popular stone - it's just so timeless. When it comes to color, blue lapis and topaz are my favorite stones. The jewelry is available in 18k gold, 14k gold, or Sterling Silver.

What I love the most about
Anzie Jewelry is the versatility. Necklaces can be worn as a single piece, or layered to create a whole different look. The jewelry can also be customized by size, which is perfect for a petite person like me with tiny wrists! It's so hard to find bracelets that can fit me!

Anzie Jewelry was founded in 1999 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada by Anzie Stein. Anzie began designing jewelry as an emotional outlet. Her husband Barry was battling Colon-Cancer, which inspired Anzie to create The LifeSaver Bracelets to help raise funds for Cancer awareness. The LifeSaver Bracelets continue to benefit many charities worldwide. Anzie's daughter Jaclyn design the jewelry line with her, while Anzie's daughter Joanna handles marketing the collection.

You can shop Anzie Jewelry at
anzie.com and at Saks Fifth Avenue stores.

Here are some images from the Fall 2010 Preview

Gearing up for Fashion Week! Top Picks for On-the-Go Snacks

Back in March I attended a brand-to-press networking event - Editor Showcase: Modern Moms. The press event featured lifestyle, nutrition and parent-centric brands. Now not being a mom, I really wondered how this event would benefit me, but I am really glad I attended because I got to meet up with some great brands that make wonderful snacks for someone on-the-go like me.

With fashion week just a few weeks away, it's time to think about what snacks I can carry around with me, since I may barely eat within a 12-hour time frame of running back and forth between work and fashion shows. So here are my top picks for fun snacks:

Sun Maid offers a variety of raisins and dried fruit snacks, with one of my favorites being Mixed Fruit (sweet apricots, moist plums, tasty pears, and tart apples). It's a great way to add more fiber and antioxidants to your diet!

Crispy Green makes 100% freeze-dried fruit snacks with no additives or preservatives. Each bag contains approximately one serving of fruit. You can choose from Crispy Apples, Asian Pears, Bananas, Mangoes or Pineapples.

Crispy Green also makes Fruitzio snacks - which are all natural and freeze dried, with just a hint of sugar. These snacks are light, sweet and crunchy. They also have no additives or preservatives, have zero fat and cholesterol. Each bag contains approximately 2.5 servings of fruit.

SOYJOY bars have been my favorite for quite some time now. By September, SOYJOY's current flavors - Blueberry (newest flavor), Strawberry, Apple Walnut, Berry and Mango Coconut will hit stores in a new lighter, moisture texture, and an enhanced fruit flavor. I'm excited for the launch of Banana SOYJOY, available in October. SOYJOY has all-natural, minimally processed ingredients, like ground whole soybeans and real fruit. It's completely free of trans fats, hydrogenated oils, artificial colors and flavors, preservatives, and chemical additives.

Pillsbury Bite-Size Brownies are quite addictive! These ready-to-eat mini brownies are filled with gooey caramel or fudge, covered in a chocolatey shell. Try not to eat the whole bag at once though! There are 60 calories per brownie.

Pepcom's Digital Experience! 2010

Back in June I attended Pepcom's Annual Showcase, Digital Experience! at the Metropolitan Pavillion. The media event showcased the latest innovations in computers and consumer electronics - including HDTV, videogames, satellite radio, DVD, digital audio, MP3 players, digital cameras, cellphones, PDAs and laptops, from leading technology companies including Kodak, Lenovo, Nikon, Nokia, Samsung, TiVo and Toshiba.

With "A Taste of Japan" theme, there were numerous dinner buffet stations setup, including a sushi bar and open bar areas.

Here's a look at some of my favorite digital finds and accessories.

Case-mate has a great selection of iPhone 4 cases, including the Lisboa case, with cork texture and grip, and metallic accents. I don't have an iPhone 4, but they have plenty of cases for the 3G / 3GS. I really like some of their new cases coming out, including the light wooden ones. You can also make your own custom case by uploading your own image or design, or choosing one of the I Make My Case Artist Series designs.

I love the look of this case. It's fashionable and colorful!

I can't w
ait to try this out - VuPoint Solutions® Magic Wand™ Portable Scanner (retails for $99.99). I can't tell you how much I dread having to walk over to the copier every time I need to scan something. I love how you can scan without leaving your seat, or take this with you and scan as you go! It's really lightweight and can scan 600 dpi high resolution and 300 dpi for standard resolution. It's along with black, it is available in a variety of colors - blue, red, green and purple - a fashionable scanner - I love it!

If you are looking for a stylish digital camera, check out GE's Create by Jason Wu. This camera has great image quality, with 12 megapixels, 2.7-inch LCD, built in memory and a retractable USB plug. It comes with a leather camera case, a microfiber camera pouch (which doubles as a lens cleaning cloth) and wrist and neck straps. Prices start at $179.99 for the 4GB model and go up to $229.99 for the 8GB version.

Nikon has several great SLR cameras to choose from, including 10.2, 12.1, 12.3 or 24.5 megapixel cameras. Now I have to choose which one is right for me.
