Dell Presents Isabella Rose Taylor Spring 2015 at STYLE360 New York Fashion Week

On September 9th, 13-year-old designer Isabella Rose Taylor kicked off the STYLE360 shows at New York Fashion Week with her Spring 2015 collection, presented by Dell. The show opened with a special performance by Olivia Somerlyn. 

Isabella Rose Taylor's collection is both playful and youthful, with cloud prints and florals against grey and blush-toned neutrals. Models walked the runway in cropped halter tops, mesh t-shirts, lounge pants and tunic, babydoll and maxi dresses. Several of her looks featured touches of long fringe at the front or back. Models were accessorized with Dell Venue tablets with custom covers designed by Isabella. 

Isabella has already tapped into the teen market, with her juniors line currently available at Nordstrom this fall, in sizing starting at XX-Small. The lounge pants look so comfy, I may just have to pick up a pair for myself!

Backstage Beauty at Isabella Rose Taylor Spring 2015 at STYLE 360 NYFW

STYLE 360 was back at New York Fashion Week this season, starting off with Isabella Rose Taylor Spring 2015, presented by Dell. Backstage I glimpsed the hair looks for the show, which was a center part with two French braids on all the long-haired models. The hair looks were achieved using Olivia Garden hair brushes and Not Your Mother's hair products. Models rocked a smoky eye with makeup by Mehron, for an edgy yet youthful look.

Barbie & CFDA Fashion Lounge VIP Party at New York Fashion Week

This season of New York Fashion Week was filled with parties galore, including the Barbie & CFDA VIP party, held on September 5th at North Plaza, 14th Street and 9th Avenue in the Meatpacking District.

The party celebrated one-of-a-kind designs by Rebecca Taylor, Cynthia Vincent, Tess Giberson, WHIT and Charlotte Ronson, in honor of the new Barbie Fashion Design Maker doll and app. 

Also on display were the latest wearable fashion tech pieces including Frends Taylor headphones, Ringly line of smart jewelry and Sensoree GER Mood Sweater.

wet n wild "Steal the Look" Media Preview

On September 22nd, wet n wild hosted a screening party at the Bryant Park Hotel screening room to celebrate the launch of their Steal the Look commercial during the premiere of NBC's The Voice.  Beauty bloggers enjoyed cocktails, hors d'oeuvres and makeup touchups, using wet n wild's "Steal the Look" app to recreate a favorite makeup look.

Some of my new favorite products from wet n wild include the Mega Liner liquid eyeliner, which glides on super smooth, MegaImpact mascara, MegaLast Lip Color in Vamp It Up - which I love to mix with a berry lipstick or gloss for a new fall shade and Color Icon Eyeshadow in Comfort Zone (738), with ultra-pigmented day-to-night shades. It also illustrates four different looks and specifies shades for the browbone, eyelid, crease and definer.

Annabelle VIP Movie Release Party

On Tuesday September 23rd, Warner Bros. Pictures and New Line Cinema hosted a VIP movie release party at Jekyll & Hyde in NYC for Annabelle, in theaters October 3rd. Attendees were able to meet with Annabelle and actor Tony Amendola from the film, while enjoying cocktails and hors d'oeuvres.

In full spirit of the film, guests were given an 'evil eye' protection bracelet and a curandero performed a cleansing ritual prior to meeting with Annabelle.  

Annabelle is the prequel to The Conjuring, which I had previewed before its release and thought that was incredibly scary. There are a ton of horror movies coming out this month, and Annabelle kicks it all off for a frightastic October ahead!

Summary of the movie:

John Form has found the perfect gift for his expectant wife, Mia - a beautiful, rare vintage doll in a pure white wedding dress. But Mia's delight with Annabelle doesn't last long. On one horrific night, their home is invaded by members of a satanic cult, who violently attack the couple. Spilled blood and terror are not all they leave behind.
