Fresh Beauty Kitchen in Soho

If you happen to be in the Soho area, check out the Fresh Beauty Kitchen at 265 Lafayette Street. Inside you'll find skincare rituals, complimentary facials and special events. During my mini facial, I was excited to try the Rose Deep Hydration Facial Toner, which is one of my must-haves for this summer! I don't usually use a toner, but this was had a beautiful scent and felt very refreshing.

NaturaBrasil Opening at Garden State Plaza

NaturaBrasil celebrated their opening at Garden State Plaza on January 23rd. This is my first introduction to NaturaBrasil, as I got to explore their skincare and bodycare, which is sustainably sourced in the Amazon. If you drop by the store, I recommend you indulge in a hand massage, and try out their hand cream, which is softens and smooths. NaturaBrasil also has hair care, fragrances and oils. Their scents smell amazing as well as relaxing, with some of my favorite scents including Castanha, Cacau, Andiroba and Maracujá.

2015 Beauty Favorites

It's a brand new year with plenty of beauty products to focus on! Here's a look at some of my favorites I'm starting the year off with. 

IT Cosmetics CC + Radiance Palette ($38) comes with a color correcting brightening powder, matte blush and matte bronzer, infused with anti-aging ingredients. It's also great for travel, instead of having to pack separate brightening powders, blushes or bronzers. 

IT Cosmetics CC+ Lip Serum Hydrating Anti-Aging Color Correcting Crème Gloss ($24) is a product I have been using for almost a year now and can't get enough of. It acts as a lip gloss without feeling sticky. The more you use it, the better it is for you, as it's packed with anti-aging ingredients - clinically proven collagen, peptides, hyaluronic acid, plus 9 essential butters and oils for an amazing lip treatment. 

Hello breath spray is a great breath refresher to keep in your bag or at the office. It's available in supermint, mojito mint and pink grapefruit mint.

Whish Flawless Swipes ($7, 8pk / $22, 30pk) post wax & shave serum banishes the appearance of bumps and ingrown hairs. You can use it on your entire body or just spot treat affected areas. It Exfoliates & cleanses with willow bark extract and papaya extract, restores & smoothes with yeast extract and rose hip extract and calms & smoothes with organic aloe and organic cucumber extract. 

Zoya Entice Collection Sampler ($54) contains six amazing colors to get you through the winter season - Nyssa, Claire, Veronica, Margo, Ryan and Genevieve. I love accenting these colors with the Zoya Ignite Collection Sampler ($54).

Mineral Fusion Limitless Beauty Cream ($19.99) is an all-in-one cream with nourishing coconut oil. This can be used to moisturize lips, tame browns, nourish cracked heels, soften cuticles restore dry elbows or use as a hand cream or super-rich night cream. It's also great to use before applying makeup, on the apples of the cheeks or under eyes to create a dewy glow, mix with powder cosmetics to create cream shadows and blushes or use as a luminizer. 

Rituals Hammam Delight ($15) gel to foam shower gel is energizing and revitalizing with Refreshing Eucalyptus and Rosemary.

L'Occitane and WorldRiderZ Shopping Event

On August 28th, the L'Occitane Flatiron store hosted a shopping event and Refuel and Refresh for WorldRiderZ teamsters Stephane Etienne and Paul Torriero. L'Occitane is sponsoring WorldRiderZ in their round-the-world bike journey to raise awareness and funds to fight Chronic Kidney Disease. For their Flatiron stop-over, Stephane and Paul were pampered with mini-facials and treated to hand massages.

During the event, guests enjoyed champagne and macarons while shopping their L'Occitane favorites and exploring new products. The Flatiron boutique was beautifully decorated with Immortelle face care, featuring Immortelle Precious Serum and Divine Cream. I was able to stock up on my own personal favorites like the must-have Shea Butter Hand Cream and the incredibly hydrating Almond Shower Oil.  

The WorldRiderZ story centers on Stephane's son Ilhan, who was born with severe kidney disease. Stephane along with friend Paul, set out to raise awareness and funds by undertaking an incredible bike journey across 9 countries. The 25,000 km journey has included 11 hospital visits, numerous press conferences and filming a six-part documentary for the Discovery Channel. WorldRiderZ has been welcomed all over the world by key figures such as French Minister of Health Xavier Bertrand, Prince Abdulaziz Bin Salmon of Saudi Arabia, Richard Berry and the Dalai Lama. WorldRiderZ is now setting off on the second leg of their journey which involves crossing France, the UK, Canada and the US, traveling 15,535 miles over a three month span.

L'Occitane will also be donating 15% of the daily sales at key stop-off locations throughout Stephane and Paul's journey to fight Chronic Kidney Disease, including the London's Covenant Garden, as well as spots in Toronto and New York City.

Two of my favorite scents are Cherry and Almond, so I'm super excited about Floral Cherrynova, my favorite from the güd line. It smells amazing, with top notes of juicy bing cherries and fresh green, mid notes of rosewood and white floral bouquet and dry notes of warm milk accord and creamy musk.
