Maison Martin Margiela for H&M

The Maison Martin Margiela for H&M collection launched on November 15th, but lucky for me I was able to attend the pre-shop event on November 14th at the newest, 25,000 square-foot, two-floor H&M store at The Shops at Columbus Circle.

By the time I arrived it looked like shoppers pillaging a sample sale, with H&M staff quickly replenishing and helping guests find the pieces they were looking for. Lucky for me, as I was walking into the Margiela section, I got the last candy wrapper clutch in silver. I had been looking for both the pink candy-wrapper clutch and the Trompe L'oeil bodysuit, which both hadn't arrived yet. The bodysuit had just arrived at the 34th & Broadway location today, so I was able to snag a size 2 off the rack.

Unlike the quickly sold-out Versace for H&M collection, there are a lot of Margiela for H&M pieces available in-store. Within the iconic collection, I was more drawn to the tailored and leather pieces. Each piece is labeled with the season/year they first appeared.
