The Powder of Diesel Collection

On April 28th, Diesel and stylist Dani Stahl hosted a special blogger event for the Powder of Diesel Collection, including mini-makeovers by MAKE UP FOR EVER at the 770 Lexington Diesel store.

The Powder of Diesel Collection is inspired by "the world of cosmetics blushes, eye shadow, powder - with denim treatments enriched by colored pigments". Hand sponging, hand applied spots of colour and manual spraying techniques are also used.


Colored washes are a big trend this spring/summer, and I never thought I'd embrace pastels but as soon as I spotted the Zivy Skinny Ankle Length Jeans ($220) in Spearmint on Dani Stahl, I knew that was the pair I wanted.

I was surprised how well they fit when I tried them on. I love my jeans with a little stretch in them, and the Zivy is super-slim fit in the legs. Since the jean is ankle length, I am excited that I don't have to tailor them and also get to keep the zipper detail at the hem! Usually I'm a size 24, but that size was not available so I was so glad the size 25 fit! I love the slashed detailing and these jeans look super sexy when worn with a heel!

I have to say, Lucia Tristao Hair Designs make the best headbands I have EVER tried on. I have such a hard time finding headbands that fit, as most of the time they are either too tight and uncomfortable or leave a gap at the top of my head. These headbands are made of super soft, fine leather and fit perfectly! I feel as though the headband bends and molds to my head! The bows on the leather headbands are even interchangeable, or the headband can be worn without the bow.








Torregrosa luxurious handbags and small leather goods are made of premium leather, suede and exotic skins. Here are some of my favorite pieces. The size of the clutch makes it easy to fit everything you need for work (including an ipad) and then carry it around as a fashionable accessory after work for a night on the town.

Kohler Celebrates the Numi Launch at Robert Verdi's Luxe Laboratory

Last Tuesday, April 26th, KOHLER unveiled the space-saving Numi toilet at the Kitchen and Bath Show Industry Show (KBIS) in Las Vegas.

Numi is Kohler's most advanced toilet, with a sleek design and cutting-edge technology and engineering.

I got a sneek peak during the Numi cocktail party launch on April 14th at the Robert Verdi's Luxe Laboratory. The $6,000 toilet does everything except talk to you and ask you how your day was. Numi features a motion-activated open & close seat and seat cover, heated seat, stainless steel bidet wand with integrated dryer, water efficient flushing technology, an air vent to warm your feet and my favorite - it plays music! You can hook up your MP3 player, iphone or ipod! There's even a touch-screen remote that can be docked and mounted to the wall.

I really enjoyed the hors d'oeuvres, including Scotch Smoked Salmon, Yellowfin Tuna Sashimi and Prime Sirloin Tartare. Bite did an amazing job on the catering.


I could not stop eating the dessert - Bite Mallomars that consisted of Ancho Caramel Ganaches with Cocoa Macaroons and Dark Chocolate. The Champagne Bombs were my favorite - Champagne Sabayon filled with Strawberries Brulee.
