Casio G-Shock's 30th Anniversary with Performance by Eminem

On Wednesday, August 7th, Casio G-Shock celebrated their 30th anniversary with a press conference featuring special guests James Marsden, Jessica Stam, Brook Lopez and Louie Vito at Basketball City, 299 South Street, Pier #34. During the press conference, three exclusive timepieces were presented: MTG, Rangeman and GDX6900.

The excitement centered around the MT-G Metal Twisted G-Shock Collection, consisting of luxury timepieces creafted at Casio's advanced factory in Yamagata, Japan, for select premium styles. Jessica Stam introduced the fashionable Baby-G BA110, BA111 and BA112 timepieces, available in nine colorways with a layered 3D metallic face. My favorite is the white Baby-G with rose gold, which would look perfect on a petite wrist. Other announcements included the launch of the new 2nd Generation Bluetooth model, lightening yellow models, G-Aviation model and many more.
After the press conference, guests enjoyed an opening act performance by Yelawolf and the anticipated hour long performance by Eminem, singing "Criminal", "Lose Yourself", Won't Back Down", and "Love The Way You Lie".

Casio Shock the World 2010

On Monday, August 2nd at Manhattan Center, Casio held an exclusive press conference with an inside look at their watch brands, including G-Shock, Baby-G for women, Pathfinder and Edifice, the newest men's collection launching this fall.

During the press conference, attendees were able to view the collections on display and were introduced to the newest Casio celebrity ambassadors, including recording artist Ke$ha for Baby-G, actor Bryan Greenberg for Edifice. L.A. Lakers star forward and two-time NBA Champion, Lamar Odom had been invited to help Casio launch the Ultimate Tough GX56 timepiece and professional skateboarder and business entrepreneur, Stevie Williams unveiled his new collaboration DGK G-Shock.

Here is the Baby-G BGA114 watch, which retails for $130. Distinctive composite metal and resin design features transparent colored resin parts with a lustrous finish. Glitter applied to the index adds a dazzling accent to the essentially casual lifestyle.

Here is a look at the Edifice EQS500C. This watch has a wide face design with three small sub-dials, giving this 5-motor chronograph with Tough Solar power and a 1/100-second stopwatch a sporty, mechanical look.

This is the Edifice EFA131. This high-performance analog/digital combination model with an LED light includes a 1/1000-second stopwatch with a speedometer function and world time as added features.

Following the press conference was a tastemaker event with DJ Cassidy and performance by Ke$ha.

Along with Casio's newest ambassadors, red carpet attendees celebrities included Kelly Bensimon, Jaslene Gonzalez, Carol Alt, Khloe Kardashian, Danielle Staub, Adrienne Bailon and Gabourey Sidibe.

Guests enjoyed hors d'oeuvres and
Absolut Vodka drinks - the Absolut G-Shock drink was a tasty one, made with Absolut Berri Acai, simple syrup and fresh lemon juice.
