CE Week NY 2014 with Head Monster Noel Lee

During CE Week NY 2014, I sat down with Head Monster Noel Lee to discuss the latest, fashionable Monster headphones that were just introduced at the Monster Press Conference on June 25th. Monster Products is definitely catering more to women, with my favorite, the luxurious Diamondz™ Rose Gold On-Ear Headphones and N-Tune™ Pearl On-Ear Headphones in pearlescent pastels.

Noel walked me through what everyday consumers should be looking for when shopping for a pair of headphones, which is a different focus when it comes to men and women. For men, the number one quality that they still buy on is sound quality, in which Monster has their own technology called Pure Monster Sound™. For the best sound quality, lookout for the DNA Pro 2.0 Over-Ear Headphones coming soon. People, especially women, buy headphones based on comfort and style, such as the Inspiration Noise Canceling Headphones that are inspired by the iPhone and great for travel. There will actually be a promo on the Inspiration Headphones starting in about a month, at airports, offering $50 off if you have an iPhone. The Inspiration style is extremely versatile, with over 60 interchangeable headbands from patent leather to feathers. If you love bling, you'll want to check out the crystallized headphones that will be available at Harrods of London.

Noel gave a few headphone recommendations for anyone who is petite - the Diamondz™collection and Inspiration Light. He also showed me the perfect workout headphones - iSport Victory In-Ear Headphones with neon accents. Monster Products is on-trend with headphones in black/white, white with rose gold and black with rose gold. You can see the full selection of Monster headphones at monsterproducts.com.

Check out my full interview, starting off with Noel Lee talking about riding his Segway. Many thanks to Noel for taking the time to chat with us!

Back-to-School Shopping at Staples with Nick Cannon

Last month, I previewed Staples back-to-school shopping with Nick Cannon as he took us through his collaboration with Monster NCredible N-Tune On-Ear Headphones and N-Ergy In-Ear Headphones, which are just as comfortable as they are fashionable, at an affordable price.

Back-to-school shopping is also a great time for anyone to get in gear with office supplies, home organization accessories and technology. Along with Monster headphones, some of my must-haves include Kingston's DataTraveler SE9 8GB USB 2.0 USB ($6.39), Apple USB Superdrive ($79) for my new MacBook Air, and for a tablet, the Microsoft Surface RT with Black Touch Cover, 64GB ($549) with touch screen and keyboard.

For organization products, Martha Stewart Home Office with Avery features everything from stylish drawers and trays to journals and tablet and laptop cases. I love the mint desk accessories, including Stack+Fit Shagreen Document Storage Boxes ($13.99), Shagreen Drawer with Inbox ($16.99), Stack+Fit Shagreen Box ($2.99) as well as the Message Board, Flourish ($13.99) and Chalkboard Labels, Flourish ($5.99).

In addition to Staples members earning five percent back in rewards on everything in the store, Staples also has a Back -to-School Savings Pass, which provides customers with a 15 percent discount on supplies. It is available for purchase for $10 through August 31st, and valid until September 21st, and can be used once a day. Students can also take advantage of receiving Microsoft Office 365 for free ($79.99 value) with the purchase of select touch screen laptops from Dell, HP, Acer, Lenovo, and Toshiba.

BeoPlay H6 Headphones Launch

H6

Bang & Olufsen just launched the stylish BeoPlay H6 headphones designed by Jakob Wagner. BeoPlay H6 is available in natural and black leather, with an adjustable cow leather headband, soft lambskin ear pads and memory foam inside the ear pads. you can plus these headphones in on the left or the right side, or plug into your friend's pair to share your music.

I love the modern yet classic look and will look just as fashionable over time. I'm extremely picky when it comes to headphones, since it's hard for me to find a pair that fits my head, and these are as close to perfect when it comes to style, fit, comfort and sound quality. The design and craftsmanship make the BeoPlay H6 a truly luxe pair of headphones.

The BeoPlay H6 retails for $399 at Bang & Olufsen and shopbangolufsen.com. For more information, visit beoplay.com.

W118 by Walter Baker Spring 2013

W118 by Walter Baker Spring 2013 is an explosion of color and prints from ikat to tropical florals, colorblocking. The collection is feminine with eyelet and lace, but also has that modern edge with mesh detailing and chambray separates. My favorite piece is the white peplum jacket with mesh.

The newly launched Skullcandy EDIT Aviator headphones (starting at $199) are the perfect accessory for the fun and vibrant looks. The headbands, frames caps and cord are all customizable. My favorite pair of Skullcandy headphones is the blinged out pair worn by the model standing in the center of the presentation.
