Townhouse Spa Review: Green Tea Glo Facial

Townhouse Spa was my favorite places to unwind during New York Fashion Week, with services including manicures, pedicures, massages, facials, hair styling and makeup application.

It's hard to believe it's been 4 years since I've been at Townhouse Spa so I was definitely overdue for a beauty treatment there! After changing into a luxe spa robe, I was ready for my customized facial - the Green Tea Glo, which is similar to the 60-minute VerryBerry Glo. My 30-minute treatment included Sonya Dakar skin care products, starting with the Mud Lavender Wash followed by the Aromasol Mist toner with lavender and tea tree. The ultra luxe green tea acid peel for normal skin was then applied to my face. My treatment also included a relaxing shoulder, neck and arm massage. My facial ended with Epicuren's Facial Emulsion Enzyme Moisturizer and Sonya Dakar's Omega-3 Repair Complex to help with discoloration.

As you can see, I immediately had glowing, brighter skin! My face felt hydrated, moisturized and super soft. Since I had my facial in the evening there was no need to apply my nightly skin care regimen. I was able to just let all those nutrients from my facial sink in!

Thank you to Townhouse Spa for the customized facial experience! Townhouse Spa is the perfect place to indulge in a spa treatment, especially if you don't have a chance to enjoy a summer getaway. You can check out a list of Townhouse Spa's services at townhousespa.com. Also, check out TheBeautyBlazers.com, created by Townhouse Spa founder Jamie Ahn for beauty and skin care products to keep your skin looking great!

BeautyBar Presented by The Daily Front Row During Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Fall 2011

Kat Deluna getting her makeup done by beautyADDICTS

On February 15th I attended the BeautyBar, aka The Daily Lounge at Townhouse Spa during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Fall 2011.

I always make sure I set aside some time to indulge in services at the BeautyBar, first starting off with an amazing mini refresher facial, then pedicure, makeup by
beautyADDICTS and hair styling by Raika Studio. Raika Studio was using and promoting Paul Mitchell Awapuhi Wild Ginger luxury care for dry, damaged hair (eight products total). I love the amazing light smell of ginger in the Finishing Spray that was used on my hair. I can't wait to try the Keratin I would also love to try the Texturizing Sea Spray and Shine Spray.

Other services included manicures, massages and brow shaping.

This was the first time I had ever tried beautyADDICTS makeup and loved my smoky eye makeover. I got to take home several beautyADDICTS products, including the
SolutionEYES eye shadow, Hydra SUNRays matte bronzing powder, LashGALORE mascara, and RelationLIPS lip gloss. Can't wait to use them!

I was also introduced to Hanes Silk Reflections Ultra Sheer, available in Barely Black, Barely There, Gentlebrown, Jet, Little Color and Natural, retailing for $10.00. I was thrilled with the samples I received, which came in handy when I happened to need sheer jet black hosiery right before an event. The size AB fit me great, and didn't get any snags with the run resistant technology.

I was amazed by the exquisite, unique
Madstone fine jewelry pieces that were being showcased. I especially love the Bubble collection, inspired by a magnum of champagne.

Since I always spend quite a bit of time at the BeautyBar, I definitely have to snack on something while I am there.
Simply Sensible entrées were being sampled - Zing Chicken with Brown Rice, Beef Tips and Gravy with Brown Rice and my favorite of the three being sampled, Mediterranean Style Chicken with Bowtie Pasta. Other meals include Beef Pot Roast and Gravy with Mashed Potatoes and Meat Lasagna with Sauce. These refrigerated meal options are freshly created and never frozen and can be found in grocery stores nationwide, retailing for about $6.99.

The Daily "Beauty Bar" - Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Spring 2011

The Daily "Beauty Bar" was back at Townhouse Spa for Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Spring 2011 on September 13th and 14th. Celebrities, VIPs and members of the press stopped by for their favorite spa treatments, cocktails and food. Take a look at what went on at The Daily "Beauty Bar" last season.

I absolutely love Townhouse Spa. Last season I got the facial and massage, which were both amazing. Services seemed to book up pretty quickly so I wasn't able to get either spa treatment, but I did get their early enough to get a makeover from Urban Decay and a pedicure, since those didn't have to be scheduled in advance.

Robin from Urban Decay did an amazing job on my makeover (Thank you Robin!), especially since I told her I love a dramatic eye and planned on going to the Betsey Johnson show later that evening. She even put on a set of Urban Decay lashes that have just launched. The lashes looked so natural and made such an impact on my eyes! Attendees also got a gift bag filled with the latest Urban Decay product!

By the time I was waiting for my pedicure to dry, manicures were in full swing! Plenty of great nail polish colors to choose from - I went with a cobalt blue - one of my favorites colors.

Here is the friendly staff from Le Souk Restaurant. The hors d'oeuvres were very tasty!

Marcolin Eyewear was there displaying John Galliano, Tod's and Dsquared² sunglasses.

Ouidad, specializing in curly hair, was booked up and busy styling!

Jeannine Morris, founder of BeautySweetSpot.com, held a beauty-licious party at Townhouse Spa on June 16th, to celebrate the launch of her beauty blog. Jeannine thought of just about everything to entertain her guests – a chocolate fondue fountain to dip marshmallows and strawberries in, yummy cherry-tini drinks, sweet and sexy servers and let’s not forget the incredible spa services that Townhouse spa was offering during the event.

I’ve always wanted to try out the spa services at Townhouse Spa, and I can definitely say they are now at the top of my list and I hope to go back there soon! I was able to enjoy a facial and chair massage. There were so many other services to choose from, including mini manicures, jelly foot bath pedicures, ricebran body smoother, demo eyelash and hair extensions and makeup touch-ups and sexy, summer hair styling by Celebrity Artists from DEX New York.

Stylist Sarah Shirley was on-hand, encouraging attendees to enter to win a 4-hour closet clean out valued at $600. I also had my first encounter with Vie Luxe, with candles on display including Buenos Aires (wild jasmine flowers, exotic Ceibo petals, ombu leaves & white pepper), Tuileries (white tuberose, rare jasmine, lavender buds & geranium petals) and Cote D’Azur (white lily, water hyacinth, fresia, pink rose & French verbana). The luxurious scents were present throughout the spa.

On the way out, guests received a Quintessentially gift bag filled with beauty treats including samples from Arbonne, Dr. Christine Rodgers, DERMAdoctor and FC5 Swiss, whitening toothpaste from Dr. Debra Glassman, DEX mineral tinted hydrator, Thymes body lotion, Sally Hansen and N.Y.C. New York Color nail polish and an all-in-one eye shadow/blush/lipgloss/eyeliner compact from e.l.f. Cosmetics.

So congrats to my fabulous friend Jeannine! Always a great source on everything beauty, I wish Jeannine the best of luck with her new blog and will be sure to follow it!
