On April 9th, 2016, I attended this Spring's ABC Carpet & Home Beauty Wellness Wisdom event at 888 Broadway at East 19th Street. Last month's all-day retreat included wellness talks, mini spa treatments, astrology, palm readings and master classes.
The morning consisted of a mini chakra meditation by Sarah Platt-Finger, co-founder of Ishta Yoga, a spring star forecast with spiritual astrologer Demitra Vassiliadis, a conversation with wellness entrepreneurs Leila Janah, Millana Snow, Marius Morariu, Annie Ryu and Indie Lee, followed by an experiential Kundalini workshop with Valerie Oula and an interactive exercise to unlock your awareness, break subconscious patterns and align with your intentions with reiki healer and SERENE co-founder Millana Snow.
This is definitely an event you want to arrive early to, if you plan on taking advantage of afternoon wellness and beauty treatments. Sign up sheets fill up very quickly with limited spots open! I didn't get there until the early afternoon, and by then there's wasn't one spot open. If you are lucky maybe you can find a canceled slot or get squeezed in toward the end of the event.
