TargetStyle, In Vogue Party

I kicked off my New York Fashion Week festivities with the TargetStyle, In Vogue party on September 9th at Cedar Lake, at 547 West 26th Street. A collection of Vogue's most iconic images were reimagined and styled with Target products, including buffalo plaid apparel, shoes, and accessories from the limited-edition Adam Lippes for Target collection launching in stores and online at target.com on September 27th.

Target's 20-page advertising insert in the September issue of Vogue magazine was brought to life, with live-action vignettes. Each guest was given a wristband with a QR code, linked to each attendee's email address. Photographers were on standby near each installation, Scanning guests' wrists and snapping photos. Each guest then received an email to a photo library of all their images taken throughout the night, which could be directly downloaded or shared on Facebook and Twitter. The best vignette was even a merry go round that took a video of each guest while in motion. This is such an innovative collaboration between Target and Vogue, with a another creative Target party concept, incorporating tech, fashion and style.

Lilly Pulitzer for Target Launch Party

It's April 19th! Time to hit up your local Target store or target.com and scoop up your favorite Lilly Pulitzer for Target items! In celebration of Lilly Pulitzer for Target, I attended the pop-up shop private shopping event on April 15th at the Bryant Park Grill, which was open to the public on April 16th.

VIP and media guests shopped the anticipated Lilly Pulitzer for Target collection, which includes 250 resort chic items across apparel, accessories, home and beauty. Celebrity guests in attendance included Kate Bosworth and Bella Thorne.

I really was impressed with the quality, home products, from the ceramic mugs, wine toppers and gold-plated swizzle sticks to candle holders, decorative pillows and plates. The women's apparel was filled with Palm Beach-inspired prints including shift dresses, jumpsuits and bikinis. I was happy to pickup the white eyelet shorts and challis pom pom shorts. Included in the collaboration are L'oreal lipsticks, Essie polish and a number of cosmetic bags.

Since there were a few items I didn't see at the pop-up party, including the embroidered clutch and espadrilles, I plan on going back to Target to hopefully find them.

Good luck and happy shopping!

With Kate Bosworth and Bella Thorne

Altuzarra for Target Launch

Altuzarra for Target launches today at Target stores, online at Target.com and at NET-A-PORTER.COM! On Thursday, September 4th, media and VIP guests had an opportunity to join Joseph Altuzarra and Target to celebrate, preview and shop the collection. The launch party took place at Skylight Clarkson Square at 330 West Street, during the first day of New York Fashion Week. Celebrity guests included Naomi Watts, Keri Russell, Ivanka Trump, Naomie Harris and Elettra Wiedemann.

Target always has an amazing setup for their launch parties, and this time it included a mirror-filled room resembling a fun house, with mannequins wearing pieces from the collection, while the ceiling housed dazzling, twinkling lights.

Altuzarra for Target features a collection of women's ready-to-wear & accessories for fall including embroidered dresses, separates and dresses in python and orchid prints, velvet blazer and tuxedo pant, trench coats, faux fur cropped jacket, ankle strap heels and over-the-knee boots. My favorite pieces include the sweater with crane embroidery, orchid print sweatshirt, black swiss dot bow blouse, croc belt and ankle boots. The pieces are sophisticated and effortlessly glam.

Prabal Gurung for Target Launch

On February 6th, attendees celebrated the launch of the Prabal Gurung for Target collection at Pier 57. Guests had a chance to preview and shop the collection, which launches at Target on February 10th.

Target always puts on a great party, but of all their launch events, this was by far my favorite one. This party had it all - carnival rides and games, food trucks including Rickshaw Dumpling, macarons and smores from Sweetery and signature empanadas from Nuchas, along with amazing catering - mini Patron and Coke bottles, and fried clams partnered with a mini Bloody Mary. The launch event also included music by DJ Mia Moretti and a  surprise performance by Ne-Yo. This party was the perfect scene for a photo shoot, complete with a flower-filled red carpet.

Prabal Gurung for Target is inspired by love, with Floral Crush, First Date, Meet the Parents and Nolita prints and Apple RedDresden Blue, and Sulfur Spring colorful solids.

My favorite pieces include the sleeveless blouse and short-sleeve dress in First Date print, shorts in Floral Crush print, sleeveless dress in Meet the Parents print and black and white pintuck dress. The apparel starts at size 2 and I'm a size 0/00, so I won't be able to sport any of the pieces but I definitely can't wait to see my favorites on other fashionistas. The shoes start at size 5 1/2. I'm a size 5 so no shoes for me (sad face) but the lace-up pumps, ankle-strap pumps and wedge sandals were all on my list. I am excited about the miniaudiere I got in the Nolita print!

Check out the lookbook at target.com to view the full collection and get ready to shop on Sunday!
