FOX's The Following: Interviews with Kevin Bacon and Shawn Ashmore

Back in October, I sat down with Kevin Bacon and Shawn Ashmore during New York Comic Con to discuss Season 2 of The Following. What can we expect? This season takes place about a year later, with Ryan teaching criminology in Manhattan. He has sobered up, is no longer involved with the FBI and meets a new potential love interest, Lily Gray, played by Connie Nielsen. We can assume it doesn't take too long before the madness starts and Joe Carroll's followers go on a killing spree.

This season is very different from Season 1, and can't wait to see it unfold in NYC. It will be interesting to see what impact last season had on Mike Weston's character, and get a closer look into Mike's character outside of the FBI.

Time to catch up on the first season! The Following returns to FOX with a special preview of Season 2 on Sunday, January 19th, after the NFC Championship, and then on Mondays at 9/8c starting January 27th. You can watch clips from The Following panel at Comic Con here

FOX's The Following Panel at New York Comic Con 2013

On October 13th during the last day of Comic Con, I joined FOX's The Following creator/executive producer Kevin Williamson, executive producer/director Marcos Seiga, and stars Kevin Bacon, James Purefoy, Shawn Ashmore, Connie Nielsen and Valorie Curry for a special video presentation and Q&A panel. The Following's intense second season returns to FOX this January, where we'll see a new fresh take on Ryan Hardy, one year later. The big question is what really happened to Joe Carroll and what have his followers been up to?

Check out some of the video clips from the panel below and get ready for the upcoming season!

FOX's The Following: Clips from New York Comic-Con

The anticipation is almost over! If you watch FOX, by now you should have seen numerous trailers on FOX's new serial killer thriller by creator/executive producer Kevin Williamson, The Following, premiering Monday night at 9pm ET/PT.

At New York Comic-Con 2012 back in October, I attended The Following panel and pilot episode screening. The panel included executive producer Marcos Siega and series stars Kevin Bacon, James Purefoy, Annie Parisse, Natalie Zea and Shawn Ashmore.

The pilot episode had me on the edge of my seat, as former FBI agent Ryan Hardy (Bacon) is drawn back into a string of gruesome murders masterminded by serial killer Joe Carroll (Purefoy), who put an end to  Hardy's career years before. Carroll escaped from prison a month before he was supposed to be executed, and now has cult followers helping him carry out his plans and gather his victims. It is amazingly chilling how Purefoy brings Carroll's disturbing and brilliant, yet charming character to life. The Following is dark, suspenseful and creepy - you can't help but get drawn into all the psychological drama.

X-Men: First Class Premiere at the Ziegfeld

X-Men: First Class opened up in theaters today and so far it's my favorite movie this year! On May 25th I attended the premiere and screening at the Ziegfeld Theater in NYC. The red carpet included 60's go-go dancers and a live jazz band.

The cast, James McAvoy (Professor X), Michael Fassbender(Erik Lehnsherr/Magneto), Rose Byrne (Moira MacTaggert), January Jones (Emma Frost), Lucas Till (Alex Summers/Havok), Kevin Bacon (Sebastian Shaw) and Zoƫ Kravitz (Angel Salvadore) pulled up in vintage cars.

I was really excited to interview James McAvoy, but the red carpet was too much of a frenzy and then he had to run off for the TimesTalks interview. I did get some interviews with Kevin Bacon and Lucas Till!

X-Men: First Class is definitely a must-see! The movie did a great job of introducing all of the X-Men First Class characters so don't worry if you aren't familiar with all of them! I do have to say, Kevin Bacon plays the villain really well!
