Lolita Lempicka Launches a New Fragrance for Fall - Si Lolita

Si Lolita, $90.00 for 3.4 oz, $70.00 for 1.7 oz and $50.00 for 1.0 oz, available at Nordstrom or www.Nordstrom.com

Lolita Lempicka's new Eau de Toilette, Si Lolita, is crisp, modern and alluring. The new scent represents a tantalizing contrast between freshness and sensuality, leaving a fragrant trail on the skin. Where the original Si Lolita evokes fantasy, the new EDT evokes delight—a carefree attitude with irresistible appeal.

Sharp green top notes burst forth in a sparkling rush of Lemon Leaf and Pink Peppercorn, creating an incredible freshness. Si Lolita Eau de Toilette reveals a more mellow heart: a delicate bouquet of Sweet Pea mingled with Hawthorn and Magnolia. At the base, notes of Amber and White Musk tinged with Iris leave behind an exquisitely alluring feeling.

The bottle is nestled inside a bright white box decorated with a printed medallion that echoes the floral-polka dot pattern designed by Lolita Lempicka herself.

Mackage Spring / Summer 2012 Collection

Mackage Spring / Summer 2012 is well tailored with a play on different textures, adding a lightness to leather and sharper form to satin and linen. The palette is inspired by the soft, serene shades of dusk, including gray, nude, pewter, sand, camel, smoke, ink, indigo, black and white.

Some of my favorite looks include the nude leather jacket over off white silk chiffon sleeveless top and fold over moon pant, smoke print sheer dress under a black boyfriend blazer with leather collar, black leather bustier crack print dress and off white pleated silk chiffon top with black pant with leather waistband and buckles.

What Goes Around Comes Around Spring 2012

What Goes Around Comes Around's Spring 2012 vintage-inspired collection centers on the "world traveler who effortlessly packs for a trip, from Buenos Aires to a safari in Tanzania, then onto the beautiful Gold Coast of Long Island," with Lauren Hutton visualized on this journey.

The collection involves three different color stories, starting in Buenos Aires with a rich and ethnic palette stemming in jade, along with red, gold and black. Next in Africa, a soft shade of tea is highlighted by rich colors of cobalt, rust and chartreuse. The final landing along the Gold Coast brings out white, turquoise lavender and sea green.

You'll see Victorian inspired lace, pin tuck and crochet details on tops, skirts and dresses, vintage floral prints, leather and suede, and hand beaded and embroidered pieces, drawing from the 20s/30s.

The vibrant colors and prints look gorgeous on the long skirt and dress silhouettes, with tassel necklaces and belts adding that vintage feel.

Nicholas K Spring / Summer 2012

Nicholas K Spring / Summer 2012 features lightweight, transparent pieces including shirts, dresses and trench coats with asymmetrical hems, and mesh leggings layered underneath shorts and dresses.

Nicholas K's super soft leather jackets are always a favorite of mine, this time with a few abstract and asymmetrical cuts.

The palette includes natural earthy tones of grey, olive, sand, beige and blue, as well as white and black.

I always look forward to Nicholas K scarves, this time in tonal and multi tie-dye.

From season to season, Nicholas K manages to layer pieces effortlessly and comfortably without looking weighted or bulky.

Mara Hoffman Spring 2012

Photos by Alyssa D'Alessandro

Mara Hoffman names “Mexican Mamas” as the inspiration for her SS 2012 presentation that debuted at The Box during MBFW last Friday where a mariachi band evoked the collection’s feel. The “Mexican Mamas” theme was influenced by artist Frida Kahlo’s personal style and by Aztec prints that were crafted in vibrant neon colors.

All of the prints used in the collection were created in-house, including a tribal and neon print named “Veracruz.” “Techno Animal” is a cheery and fun print featuring brightly colored animals. The bright prints were countered with beautiful black and white jumpsuits and maxi dresses that were accessorized with colorful Holst and Lee tubular rope necklaces and diamond-shaped knitted earrings. Tiered bohemian, peasant, and crocheted dresses in muted colors added a very romantic feel to the collection. Several transparent silk pieces like rompers with sheer middles, pants featuring neon shorts underneath, and tops over neon, custom-made bralets added texture and unexpected pops of color.

Our favorite has to be this blue poncho with pink details and a bold Aztec print, which was paired with hot pink shorts. The poncho’s dramatic and draping back had amazing movement!

Hoffman’s neon green, yellow, pink, and blue prints were used for the models lace-up Holst and Lee sandals and were even featured in their braided buns. Nick Irwin for TIGI continued the tribal feel of the collection by crimping the models hair for gorgeous texture, adding synthetic crimped hair, and braiding individual strips of the season’s prints into regal up-dos that were sometimes accented by feathers.

Keeping an eye out for clothes with unique and graceful movement was acclaimed fashion photographer and America’s Next Top Model judge, Nigel Barker, whose wife used to model for Hoffman’s shows! Ashley Tisdale also came by to admire the collection after attending Rebecca Taylor’s show.

OBSESSIVE COMPULSIVE COSMETICS Opens Flagship Boutique in NYC

OCC Founder David Klasfeld

Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics opened it's first flagship boutique today at 174 Ludlow Street, between Hudson and Stanton Streets.

Last night I attended the VIP press event, where attendees enjoyed vegan appetizers and cocktails and checked out Pretty Boy, OCC's new Fall/Winter 2011 Colour Collection, inspired by glam rockers such as David Bowie and Boy George.

The Lower East Side boutique has such a great artsy vibe, with professional makeup artists on hand to offer private consultations and makeup applications. Customers can also custom create their perfect shade or recreate their favorite colour at the OCC¹s Mixing Bar.

The OCC boutique has over 36 shades of Lip Tars, highly pigmented loose eyeshadows, and an array of vibrant nail polishes. The Lip Tar is my favorite OCC product, which comes in amazing bold colors and lasts on the lips for hours.

Love this Lip Tar colour in Queen. Can't wait to try it out!
