For Fashion's Night Out 2011, Talbots held a shopping event hosted by celebrity stylist and beauty expert Mary Alice Stephenson, who provided fashion tips and advice.

Sally Hansen beauty experts offered mini-manicures, featuring Sally Hansen Real Nail Polish Strips. I have the strips at home but have yet to try them. They looked very simple to apply - just peel, apply and shape!

The first 100 customers received a gift bag with Sally Hansen treats.

Fashion's Night Out 2011

Between Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week and Fashion's Night Out, my inbox has been flooded with invites. Talbots Fall 2011

Here's a preview of my fall favorites from Talbots. Adding new sweaters and silhouettes, like the merino belted cardigan, $149, is a must and looks great when paired with a printed blouse or scarf!

I absolutely love this black beaded dress, $399, but since I am petite I would definitely shorten the length to be more of a mini.

Talbots Event with Mary Alice Stephenson

Last Saturday I stopped by Talbots at Garden State Plaza in Paramus, NJ for a special event with celebrity stylist Mary Alice Stephenson. Along with styling assistance from Mary Alice, shoppers enjoyed hors d'oeuvres, drinks and candy. During the event all regular-priced merchandise was 30% off.

The first 100 attendees received a goody bag with Mary Alice's Sally Hansen must-haves for spring, including Sally Hansen's Salon Airbrush Legs, Lip Inflation Color-Full and Complete Salon Manicure in Frutti Petutie - I love this color! Also included was a special booklet of Mary Alice'style tips, including one major tip I live by - 'Tailor it!'

As petite as I am, I am lucky enough to find many pieces I don't have to tailor, but sometimes come across dresses or skirts that I absolutely have to have and need to bring it to my tailor for that perfect fit. When getting pants and jeans hemmed I must always consider what shoes I am going to wear them with, so it hits at just the right length.




It's easy to go crazy over accessories because it doesn't require any tailoring! Talbots always has some great accessories, everything from statement jewelry to belts, scarves and handbags, and let's not forget the shoes, which Talbots carries in a size 5!

I ended up buying a necklace that matched my handbag and a bead cluster ring. Great shopping day at Talbots!
