SWAROVSKI CRYSTALLIZED Spring Jewelry Collection

Here are some of my top picks from the SWAROVSKI CRYSTALLIZED spring jewelry collection that you'll find at the Soho store and online at swarovski-crystallized.com. The jewelry is available in all different price ranges, from more expensive, exquisitely handcrafted pieces to more affordable ones you can add to your collection.

The Big Apple Collier from Jayde by Melissa Kandiyoti is one of my favorites. This piece is inspired by the intricate designs of Byzantium, the mysterious tales of Scheherazade, and the striking glamour of Art Deco.

The Big Apple Collier, Jayde by Melissa Kandiyoti, $630

Fergie Collier by Dannijo, $820

Glam Punk Collier by Otazu, $280

Pedras Variadas Necklace by Caleidoscopio, $550

Noeud Necklace by Gian Paolo Maria, $410

Rings by Kenneth Jay Lane - Starfish ($135), Octopus ($185), Water Snake ($125), Snake ($180), Alligator ($175)

Swarovski CRYSTALLIZED™ and Elle Event with Designer Rodrigo Otazu

Last Tuesday, November 16th I stopped over at the SWAROVSKI CRYSTALLIZED™ Soho store for an exclusive Elle event with designer Rodrigo Otazu.

Attendees were able to get the first glimpse of Otazu's unique, statement pieces, which were available for sale that evening, along with a 15% discount on all New York designer collections. It was a really enjoyable evening with champagne and jewelry, and a special Swarovski CRYSTALLIZED™ compact was included in the gift bag.

I didn't even realize that the Swarovski CRYSTALLIZED™ Café serves dinner. I am definitely going to have to come back for that! I do love the desserts.

Here are some of Rodrigo Otazu's designs. This ring is my favorite! You can view more of Otazu's pieces at swarovski-crystallized.com.

Swarovski CRYSTALLIZED™ Event

Charm bracelet give to all attendees

My customized Swarovski CRYSTALLIZED™ charm bracelet

I was excited to see what was in store for me at the Swarovski CRYSTALLIZED™ and Glamour event. Right after I checked in, I was offered a silver-plated charm bracelet (retail $30),a gift from Swarovski CRYSTALLIZED™ for all attendees. The last thing I needed was another bracelet, but I definitely wanted to participate in customizing my own. So I headed over to the components wall to pick out my charms. Since I had just purchased a starfish pendant the other week, I decided to stick with the same theme and picked out starfish, brass fish and baroque charms. The price of each charm varies, anywhere from $6-$30.

Attendees received 15% off each item they purchased that evening. I had to run off to another event so I didn’t actually put my bracelet together there, but it is very easy to do. You just clasp the charms onto the bracelet links. It was a fun event, especially amongst friends, champagne and bruschetta. Next time I will have to customize a necklace!

Definitely one of the hottest parties of the summer was the launch of the 5,000-square-foot Swarovski CRYSTALLIZED™ store on June 25, 2009.

Gossip Girl’s Blake Lively hosted the event, as she teamed up with Swarovski CRYSTALLIZED™ and charity: water to unveil the special-edition Swarovski CRYSTALLIZED™ Divine Rock necklace during the grand opening. 100% of the proceeds from the necklace will benefit charity: water. The necklace can be purchased for $88.00 at the concept store at 499 Broadway (between Broome and Spring) or online at
http://www.Swarovski-Crystallized.com, now through the end of August. I haven’t picked mine up yet, but plan on getting one during my next store visit!

Celebrities in attendance included Lucy Liu, Evan Rachel Wood and Chloe Sevigny.

I expected the space to be tiny, but to my surprise the store stretched out from the front of the store on Broadway (right across from Bloomingdale’s Soho), to the back of the store ending on Mercer Street. There is a lounge & café as you head toward the back of the store, as guests were able to sample the delectable hors d’oeuvres and treats.

The entire left wall is comprised of precision-cut loose crystals and components, allowing customers to customize and create their very own jewelry pieces. The ready-to-wear collection has something for everyone, with pieces in the $35 range to over $1,000. Shoppers can choose from charms, necklaces, bracelets, earrings and rings.

Downstairs you will find a lounge area with all-over Swarovski crystal cubes, which are actually very comfortable to sit on. There are also displays including Swarovski-detailed shoes, handbags, and tiaras.

The concept store in Soho is the only Swarovski CRYSTALLIZED™ store in the United States. Other stores are located in London, Shanghai and Austria.
