Lookbooks Blogger Breakroom During Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Fall 2011

I spent a few hours at the Lookbooks Blogger Breakroom during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Fall 2011. There were just so many ways to unwind and get prepped for the day's festivities. Spa services included massages, spray tans, manicures, eyebrow waxes and facials by Spa Merge, NK Salon and B. Bronze and vajazzles by Completely Bare. I would have loved the massage but they were completely booked up. I decided to try the full body spray tan by B. Bronze. I went with the clear spray tan, which doesn't rub off on your clothes, and I gradually noticed the difference within a few hours and loved the tan! Unfortunately I didn't know that spa services was a no-no after spray-tanning, so that ruled out my facial appointment. I enjoyed the rest of the afternoon nibbling on cupcakes by Cupcakes & Compliments and sipping champagne.

Nintendo 3DS Lounge During Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Fall 2011

I visited the Nintendo 3DS Lounge during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week at the Empire Hotel for some makeup, hair and nail prepping and gaming fun.

The Nintendo 3DS system launches on March 27th for $249.99, available in Aqua Blue and Cosmo Black, featuring real 3D graphics and exciting new applications.


Benefit Cosmetics showcased their newest products and provided fabulous makeovers! It felt like a very customized experience, since I was given products that specific to my makeover. It's always exciting to be given products I will know I will use, including Bella Bamba 3D brightening pink face powder, Smokin' Eyes sexy eye & brow makover kit, You Rebel SPF 15tinted moisturizer, BADgal lash mascara and Ultra-Shines lip shine in nudie-tude. I love Benefit Cosmetics!


Marie Robinson Salon provided hair styling (I was ready to go with some relaxed curls!) and Spa Chicks On-The-Go offered massages and manicures. I went with Essie's Mink Muffs, a smoky plush taupe for my manicure. I love that color!

amNewYork L3 Lounge Hosted by Phillip Bloch and New Era During Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Fall 2011

Amongst the lounges I visited during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week was the amNewYork L3 Lounge at the Empire Hotel, hosted by Phillip Bloch and New Era. Considering this was the only men's lounge I came across, it was jam packed even though I stopped by at the end of the day.

Nobody rocks a fedora like Phillip, so he was the perfect person to help style attendees with New Era's selection of fedoras and caps. The New Era fedoras are stylish and inexpensive at $43.99.





John Allan's was offering grooming products and a grooming bar with complimentary haircuts, shaves and manicures.


DL1961 Premium Denim was also showcasing the launch of the spring men's collection, created with revolutionary XFIT LYCRA®'s patented cross-weave technology fabric and providing four-way stretch and 360 degree of movement. So no worries on your jeans sagging and bagging.

Lia Sophia Lounge - Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Fall 2011

I absolutely love Lia Sophia's new red carpet collection,
Industrielle, which was showcased at the Lia Sophia Lounge at the Empire Hotel during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Fall 2011. The line includes modern, eye-catching statement pieces with a Victorian flare.

Guests at the lounge were gifted a piece of their choice. The Global Tassel Necklace and Rough Necklace were my two favorite necklaces, but I decided to go with the Standing Ovation Earrings in polished silver with clear crystals. I was looking for the perfect evening piece that is suitable for my petite frame.

Porsche Design Fashion Lounge

During Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Fall 2011, I stopped by the Living Room Suite of the Empire Hotel, to check out the Fall fashion collection from Porsche Design. My favorite among the leather and denim pieces is the women's laser cut leather jacket. It is so lightweight that at first glance it didn't even realize it was leather!

The jeans are made in collaboration with the Hamburg jeans brand Blessed & Cursed. The men's jeans have a straight cut while the women's jeans have a moderately narrow cut in a mechanic blue wash.

I was able to relax and enjoy some lunch and refreshments before I had to run off to my next presentation.
