Recap: P&G Summer Glow Salon at Flatiron Plaza

On June 18th, P&G hosted a one-day Summer Glow Salon in Flatiron Plaza at 23rd & 5th Avenue. The Summer Glow Salon celebrated Target as the ultimate destination for purchasing P&G beauty products, with DJs Carl Kennedy and Harley Viera-Newton and host, Beauty Expert Felicia Benson of thisthatbeautycom. On what seemed like one of the hottest days this summer so far, it was nice to stay hydrated with fresh juices at the Hydration Bar presented by Olay. Guests indulged in a beauty service of their choice, including mini manicures and makeovers at the Fab Lab presented by CoverGirl and Braids & Blowouts presented by Fekkai and Pantene.

P&G "Everyday Effect" Beauty Box Hosted by COVERGIRL

On Wednesday, June 19th, I stopped by the P & G "EveryDay Effect" Beauty Box hosted by COVERGIRL and met with Jordana Brewster and Celebrity Stylist, Sunnie Brook. Attendees experienced nail, hair and makeup touch-ups at 41st and Broadway.

Throughout the day, P & G distributed over 40,000 samples in New York City, including COVERGIRL, Gillette, Duracell, Pampers, Old Spice, Febreze, Scope, Iams and Crest. Pop-up surprises were featured at 34th Street and 6th Avenue, Washington Square Park South and Wooster Street and 72nd Street Dog Run and Riverside Park event locations.

Pat McGrath for LeSportsac 2011 Collection Launch

On June 1st, I stopped by the penthouse at the Mondrian Soho for the launch of the PatMcGrath for LeSportsac 2011 Collection. The eight-piece pro cosmetic bag collection is inspired by the shade pallete and sleek bullet of COVERGIRL LipPerfection™ lipcolor.

The collection includes different sizes, ranging from the small “Kiss Case,” ($25) to the large “Professional Carry All” tote ($120), which can fit the seven other pieces for convenient, pro-inspired makeup travel.

Lookout for the “Pat McGrath for LeSportsac” label and COVERGIRL hangtag featuring custom beauty looks and application tips from Pat.

This is the second year that LeSportsac has teamed up with COVERGIRL and Pat. Last year's collaboration was inspired by COVERGIRL LashBlast Length Mascara.

During the launch party, guests enjoyed a candy station, cocktails and hors d'eouvres. It was a hot and humid evening but the Penthouse at the Mondrian had an amazing view and the breeze coming in was just perfect. Out on the rooftop with the DJ was the place to be!

Celebrity guests included Tiki Sumpter, Shanae Grimes and Olivia Munn.

CARRERA Summer Escape

Last weekend, I took some time to relax amongst friends at the CARRERA Summer Escape at TF Cornerstone's 505W37. I never made it to CARRERA's Summer Escape last year but I'm glad I was here for it's return. It was a great retreat for media and VIPs, with gifting from sought-after brands, luxurious beauty treatments, yoga sessions, live DJ sets and exclusive performances.

Aside from enjoying an incredible view, I enjoyed lounging and tanning with complimentary Lancaster sunscreen and Carrera beach towel. During the day it was too hot for me to opt for any alcoholic beverages, so I stuck to banana smoothies and Cafe Bustelo's iced coffee, along with yummy breakfast hors d'oeuvres.

Alternative Apparel was gifting t-shirts with on-the-spot screen printing choice of Empire State Building, Statue of Liberty, boom box or sunglass designs.

Also received a $25 Solstice gift card! I can always use another pair of sunglasses!

CoverGirl was doing makeovers, while Townhouse Spa offered complimentary manicures and massages. I massage was just what I needed!

Attendees also received a gift bag, filled with Carrera, CoverGirl and Lancaster goodies. I had such a great time on Saturday, I decided to spend my Sunday afternoon here too!

COVERGIRL for LeSportsac Launch Party

On June 15th, I attended the COVERGIRL for LeSportsac launch party at the LeSportsac Soho store at 118 Greene Street. The launch celebrated the COVERGIRL for LeSportsac cosmetic bags, designed in collaboration with legendary makeup artist Pat McGrath.

These limited edition accessory bags come in black patent/yellow, inspired by the slender tube of COVERGIRL LashBlast Length Mascara.

Guests enjoyed drinks, hors d'oeuvres and a photo booth for taking fun, individual or group shots with friends. Upon leaving, guests received a gift bag with goodies from COVERGIRL and LeSportsac.
