TechStyle NYC at New York Fashion Week

During New York Fashion Week on February 16th, fashionistas lounged at TechStyle NYC at The House of Bumble, enjoying the break from fashion shows and presentations.

Guests enjoyed hair, makeup and nail makeovers as well as massages and facials compliments of Reddera, a newly launched on-demand beauty app. Attendees learned about Stylinity, an app designed to allow your fans to shop your selfies.

Phorus who has recently launched their PS5 wireless speaker, also sponsored TechStyle NYC. I'm looking forward to reviewing the new PS5!

Some of my favorite vendors I met with included Meredith Marks Jewelry, who uses gold, silver, precious stones such as diamonds, sapphires, rubies and emeralds and semi-precious colored stones such as moonstone, quartz, opal and onyx. I absolutely love eLo Organic Lip Care, which is 100% organic, smells amazing and is super soft on the lips. My favorite scent is the Sangria one!

NamaSTAY Yoga Towels are patented yoga towels with sleeves to attach to your yoga mat. They are slip-free, providing gripping traction for hands and feet. Blue Nun Wines offered their assortment of white wine and riesling. I also enjoyed chatting with Elena Murzello, author of The Love List, which contains practical tips and personal stories.

UGG Reception & Lounge at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week

It was a great to see UGG Australia this past September, in partnership with Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week as they hosted a cocktail reception and lounge. The cocktail reception was held in the Courtyard at Lincoln Center and included a shoe exchange featuring the UGG Classic Mini in Chestnut and Black. I went with the Chestnut color since it matched my outfit, and also gave me a chance to rest my 5-inch heels. I can't even tell you how comfy it was to switch from heels to a pair of UGG boots.

Guests enjoyed hors d'oeuvres and drinks and was introduced to the UGG Fall/Winter 2014 home collection, from oversized chunky knit blankets and plaid melange throws to classic pillows and luxe sheepskin area rugs. This was my first time previewing the home collection, and it made me want to immediately upgrade to UGG's comfy and cozy blankets and area rugs.

The Sanctuary by UGG Australia was open daily during fashion week, in the mezzanine of Lincoln Center. The comfort lounge, also accessorized with the UGG home collection, was the perfect place to relax and recharge in between shows with Larabars and BluePrintCleanse.

NYFW Style Stop

On September 8th, I started my morning at the NYFW Style Stop at the Empire Hotel during New York Fashion Week. West Hollywood based salon, Benjamin, offered dry styling based on six different looks - The Artist (top knot bun), The Princess, The Lady, The Lover (messy french braid), The Dancer (low bun) and the Rebel (half up, half down with a top knot bun). I went with The Lady, a messy, low ponytail styled to one side. Benjamin has plans to open a salon in NYC soon, so I can't am looking forward to that!

Lounge guests also met with brands, including Bite Beauty, She + Lo, Poppin, Happy Plugs and Stella & Dot, and indulged in essie manicures from Hint Water.

I have yet to visit the Bite Beauty Lip Lab in Soho, but was super excited to experience making my own lipstick at the Style Stop. All I had to do is pick one of Bite Beauty's bold lipstick shades and then watched the entire process, from creating the mixture, pouring it into the mold and then letting it harden, resulting in the perfect tube of lipstick. I went with #9, a bold red.

She + Lo showcased their Fall 2014 collection of leather handbags, designed by Los Angeles designers Sheila Nazarian and Laura Darrah. She + Lo handbags are made of buttery soft leather, from mini satchels and mini messenger bags to crossbody bags.

Poppin previewed their latest office supplies, from trays and large envelopes to notebooks. Poppin is known for their bright colors, and have now added silver and gold into their palettte.

I first met Swedish brand Happy Plugs during CE Week this summer, and are known for their earbuds in a variety of colors. I especially love the rose gold pair, and find them to be very comfortable.

Stella & Dot showcased their new Keep Collective brand, which focuses on customizing leather wrap bracelets by choosing your bracelet color and selecting from over 300 charms.
