Covet + Lou Launch and Holiday/Winter Collections Preview

On November 17th, I celebrated the launch of Covet + Lou and the new Fall/Winter 2014 "Cocoon" issue of Gather Journal at Haven's Kitchen at 109 West 17th Street. I previewed Covet + Lou's Holiday/Winter collections, featuring exclusives from Upstate, Gabriela Artigas and N'East Style x Covet + Lou.

At the preview I met with Tina Burgos, Covet + Lou founder and former owner of Stel's Newbury Street boutique. I got some more insight into Covet + Lou, which includes vintage clothing, accessories and home goods, handpicked by Tina herself. The carefully curated and well-edited e-commerce site focuses on emerging designers in New York and Los Angeles.

You can really see Tina's style and androgynous perspective shine through with the pieces she selects for Covet + Lou. I look forward to seeing the assortment grow on their site. Covetandlou.com is a great shopping site to find unique holiday gifts. You'll find all different price points on Covet + Lou, from $16 note cards and $25 oval bowls to a $120 vintage peacock feather purse and $251 tusk necklace.

Lester's E-Commerce Launch

On Thursday, March 8th, I attended Lester's e-commerce launch at Lester's Manhattan store, located at 1534 Second Avenue between 79th and 80th Streets. On lesters.com you'll find the hottest brands for women, juniors, kids and babies, with a shoe section coming soon. It's one-stop shopping for the entire family, with an amazing assortment.

This was the first time I was introduced to Lester's and was amazed at how many brands are carried in-store and online including some of my contemporary favorites - BCBG, Ella Moss, Free People, Joie and J Brand as well as other boutique brands I wasn't familiar with but are now on my radar, with new products launching daily. Some of my top picks are the
Parker Native Embroidered Tank, Bleulab Reversible Detour Legging and THURSDAY FRIDAY Canvas Totes. I spotted some great gift items and accessories, from jewelry to scarves, cosmetic bags and iPad cases.

I was really impressed with the kids selection, from cute to hip, with known brands such as Joe's Jeans colored denim for babies, Diesel, Volcom and 7 For All Mankind for boys and Malibu Sugar and and a Lester's brand exclusive, Rock Candy for girls.

Lester's carries the hottest trends, from colored denim to fringe and neon, with up-to-date info and style tips on
Lester's Style Scene blog.

What I think is really unique is that the models shown on
lesters.com are Lester's shoppers! You can enter to be a model in the next Lester's advertising campaign when you click on Model Contest in the footer of the homepage.

Lester's has quickly become one of my favorite stores and online shopping destinations. It has been in the NY Metro area for over 60 years, opening their first store in Brooklyn in 1948, followed by stores in Manhattan, Long Island, Westchester and Deal, NJ. Being a family-owned retailer, they really focus on friendly, knowledgeable customer service, providing a unique and personalized shopping experience.

Here's an inside look at my visit to Lester's Manhattan store
