Thymes Holiday 2012 Favorites

Around the holidays, Thymes Frasier Fir is always my go-to candle, with a real, fresh Christmas tree scent. The forest fragrance captures the aroma of Siberian fir needles, cedarwood and sandalwood with undertones of rich floral musk. Another favorite that is new to me is the Thymes Brandied Pumpkin & Chestnut candle, a warm and cozy scent infused with Madagascar vanilla, cinnamon bark, sweet nutmeg and spicy clove. Agave Nectar - New Bath & Body Collection from Thymes

Thymes recently launched Agave Nectar, a new bath & body collection. The fresh scent of agave nectar is paired with ruby red grapefruit, tangy guava, and succulent lemon blossom. The citrus scent is light, clean and invigorating. This has quickly become another favorite of mine, along with Thymes' Azure and Red Chérie.

Agave Nectar is available in an assortment of products, including body lotion, body wash, cologne candle, hand wash and hand lotion sink set and more. These items would make great gifts for the holidays.

I think you'll be happy with any Thymes product you try, but the hand and body lotions are definitely my favorite products. The lotions are moisturizing and hydrating and the scent lasts for hours. The body wash is also a favorite, with a refreshing rich, lather.

Thymes Bath & Body Favorites: Azur and Red Chérie

Ever since my first encounter with Thymes at the New York International Gift Fair last fall, they have become one of my favorite bath & body care brands. My favorite Thymes collections are Azur and Red Chérie.



Azur is a scent that I was not familiar with and recently tried for the first time. I love the marine fragrance of soothing white tea, water lily and sea grasses. I've been using the body water ($32), a lightly scented cologne that lasts all day. The scent reminds me of the ocean, which is why I think it's the perfect scent for summer.





The Red Chérie fragrance is a mixture of red fruits and flowers, pomegranate, ripe red cherries, passion flower and jasmine, with a twist of lychee and fruity musk. I recently tried the hand lotion and loved it! It has a light, sweet scent and moisturizes your hands without feeling too thick or oily. If you love this fragrance, you'll love all the other products that are offered, like the Red Chérie body wash ($18), cologne ($32), sugar body scrub ($28).

I am excited that Thymes now offers travel size (2 fl oz / 60 ml) body wash and body lotion ($6 each), so next time I take a trip I can bring my Azur or Red Chérie products with me! They would also make great stocking stuffers for the holidays!

Thymes for Gift-Giving

If you haven't thought about it already, it's time to start making your gift-giving lists and shopping for the upcoming holiday. From now until December 25th, I hope to share with you my favorite gifts this season.


Moonflower candle and home fragrance mist

At the top of my list, are bath & body and home fragrance products from Thymes, which I've had the pleasure of trying out, in an assortment of refreshing scents. The newest fragrance is Moonflower, with a rich combination of cinnamon, clove, sugared quince, myrtle leaves, mahogany, amber and cognac. I love the packaging and moonflower design on the candle ($25 retail). The candle would be a great gift paired with the home fragrance mist ($16 retail).


Frasier Fir candles

If your feeling festive or want to get someone into the holiday cheer, I highly recommend the Frasier Fir collection. At first I had planned on giving the Frasier Fir aromatic candle set as a gift, but now I am tempted to keep it for myself. I left the set sitting in my living room and the aroma of a fresh cut Christmas tree filled the air. The scent of the dual candle set ($32 retail) is strong but not overbearing. The hand wash $14 retail) and lotion ($14 retail) would be perfect to display in your guest bathroom during the holidays.

If you are looking for something refreshing and invigorating, try the Eucalyptus collection with the fragrance of eucalyptus, Italian lemon, lime and petitgrain, including soothing aloe, moisturizing jojoba oil and honey. The body wash ($20 retail) will be sure to get you going and energized.



My ultimate favorite Thymes scent is Red Chérie, a mixture of red fruits and flowers, pomegranate, ripe red cherries, passion flower and jasmine, with a twist of lychee and fruity musk. The body lotion ($25 retail) is perfect for me. I love the sweet, fruity aroma. It's hard to find a lotion that is not overbearing or too sweet smelling.

What I love about all these collections is that it would be so easy to put a gift set together as a gift - body wash/body scrub, bath powder/body lotion and candle/home fragrance mist. Skin care and makeup can be so specific to one's preference and needs, yet bath & body and home fragrance products are items everyone can use.
