Thomas Pink Autumn/Winter 2013

Thomas Pink Autumn/Winter 2013 women's collection focuses on restyling and updating the White Shirt, inspired by shirt wearers Mrs. Vreeland, Katharine Hepburn and Mr. Darcy. The buttoned and belted shirt dress is a standout piece, worn at least five ways.

The men's collection is inspired by the style of British motor racing heroes James Hunt and Jackie Stewart. The colour palette consists of British racing green and classic reds. Shirting highlights include inspiration from Thomas Pink archives of the period, contributing to the creation of constructed weaves and patterns in the Beaufort collection, boldness of the Winchester. Stalwart duffel coats, waxed cotton jackets, British woven silk ties and Scottish cashmere accessories complete the look.

White Collar Shirt Bar Courtesy of Thomas Pink

On October 22 & 23rd, people stood in line for about 2 hours to receive their complimentary custom-fitted shirt at the White Collar Shirt Bar at Rockefeller Center, courtesy of
Thomas Pink.

I couldn't think of a better way to promote the new White Collar series, premiering on USA at the end of October. Whether you were on your way to work or a tourist walking by, there was no way you could miss the seeing the long line at the shirt bar.

Luckily, I didn't have to wait 2 hours in line for my shirt. I saw someone I knew and was able to join her in line for a 45 minute wait. There were two women's fits to choose from - tailored and slim fit. I went with the slim fit, got my measurements taken and was on my way. I thought the shirts were in the $150 range and was surprised to hear that they were actually around $190. I can't wait to receive my custom-fitted shirt in about 10 days!
