Noon By Noor Fall 2015 at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week

Noon By Noor Fall 2015 is elegant and feminine, focused on silhouette and texture, with clean lines, oversized shapes and unique textiles. The muted palette includes slate grey, aubergine, emine purple navy, white and black with hints of silver and bronze, along with winter rose, camo butterfly and scattered jewel prints. 

 Collars are adorned with multicolored jewels and floral sequins cascade down crop tops and skirts. Seen throughout the collection are PU grids, leather, silver embossed florals, black blossom jacquards, foil mesh and metallic foil knits.

Noon By Noor Fall 2014 at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week

Noon By Noor Fall 2014 is inspired by patterns found in the natural environment, from cloud formations and crystalline structures to geometric patterns seen in minerals and represented through this season's signature prints, and a palette of ice blue, cool mint, mauve, navy, burgundy, and vanilla with pops of yellow, chartreuse and royal purple. 

The collection includes masculine tailoring and oversized silhouettes seen through sportswear, eveningwear and luxurious and voluminous coats. Noon By Noor plays with texture by combining felt and faux fur, chiffon and heavy crepe and leather and felt, while neoprene, waffle wool mohair and a houndstooth jacquard wool add to the textured effect. Exquisite detailing and intricate embellishments adorn tops and cascade gowns for a dramatic effect. 

The show featured music by The Misshapes, voluminous ponytails by Jorge Luis for PRIVE, nails by Cinnamon Bowser for Zoya and make up by Neil Young for MAC Cosmetics. I've been obsessing over the bold, dark lip I've been seeing all over the runway, with the look at Noon By Noor my favorite. For the look, Neil Young mixed a cabernet lip color base by mixing MAC Lip Pencil in Vino with MAC Lipstick in Smoked Purple and Flat Out Fabulous, completing the lip look by dusting the center of the mouth with an ultraviolet powder (MAC Pigment Powder in Hi-Def Cyan).

Noon By Noor Spring 2014 at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week

Noon By Noor designers Shaikha Noor and Shaikha Haya draw their Spring 2014 inspiration from The Tree of Life, a 400 year old natural wonder in their home country, Bahrain. Among the cream and blush tones are floral and leaf prints with lace panels, floral appliques and ornate embellishments. Lace and leather create a sophisticated and sporty look, with pencil skirts and dresses being my favorite pieces.

Noon By Noor Fall/Winter 2013

Noon By Noor Fall/Winter 2013 takes inspiration from a small island kingdom in the Arabian Gulf, and migration patterns of visiting birds to the archipelago. The op art movement influenced by Bridget Riley and Josef Albers can also be seen through Noon by Noor's prints, and is also a continuation from Pre-Fall's trompe l’oeil elements.

Looks this season include everything from wide leg pants and voluminous skirts to slim pantsuits and sophisticated jumpsuits to sultry dresses and feminine gowns. This collection is filled with bow blouses which I'm always on the lookout for, along with tailored blazers, pants and shirts in bold floral, poppy, check and op art prints. Bow blouses are worn under pinafores while cashmere knits are layered under wool coats and calfskin bomber jackets.

Throughout the collection are delicately embroidered bees on collars and hand woven scarves and Swarovski embellishments on double-faced silk and knitwear. The looks are accessorized with wool knit beanies and leather gloves. Deep red and burgundy and black create a refined gothic-chic look, while green, grey, opulent purple and navy add to an alluring palette.
