Mathieu Mirano Spring / Summer 2015 at New York Fashion Week

During New York Fashion Week, Mathieu Mirano unveiled his Spring / Summer 2015 Ready To Wear Collection, infusing architectural structure with organic detailing. Mathieu plays with asymmetry and volume, with modern yet classic pleats and peplums.

Mathieu's collection is luxurious, sculptural and wearable. Some of my favorite pieces include the fire red blouse and high-waisted skirt with ombre gazaar wave detailing, ivory cotton and silk sweatshirt with black lattice leather yoke detailing, jet-black sheer lattice leather shell with exposed zipper and leather trim and laser grid pattern separates in rubberized cotton. A standout pieces for evening wear is the coral iridescent beaded bustier bodice and gazaar A-line gown with petal peplum construction.

Mathieu Mirano Fall 2014 at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week

Mathieu Mirano Fall 2014 runway show took place on February 10th, in the new Pavilion venue at Lincoln Center during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. The collection mixes classic and sophisticated with sexy and edgy. The runway was full of bold and wearable pieces, featuring motorcycle jackets and leather bodices to tailored suits with a strong, confident and powerful look.

Each season I am always awed by Mathieu Mirano's luxurious looks, with key pieces being a to-die-for winter white fox coat, copper rose metallic sequin cocktail dress and suede fringe gown. Mathieu Mirano's Fall 2014 was one of my favorite shows this season, with leather and fur pieces, zipper detailing and black dominating the palette.

The show featured makeup by Benjamin Puckey for MAC, Rita Marmor for Oribe Hair Care and nails by Miss Pop for Essie.

Mathieu Mirano Spring 2014 at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week

Mathieu Mirano Spring 2014 focuses on the chic and powerful femme fatale, dressed in metallic python and leather, but also shows a softer side with gold feathers and real rose petals. The collection includes tailored pieces such as bustiers, lace pencil skirts and corset dresses.

Mathieu Mirano Fall 2013

One of my favorite collections for Fall 2013 is from Mathieu Mirano, featuring gorgeous fox furs and gowns in nude, black and metallics. A number of pieces stood out to me, including two nude tulle gowns - one with black chainmail embroidery and another with black neoprene embroidery, a nude felted wool coat with black chainmail covered fox fur detail, a multicolor sequin gown, wool dresses with draped chiffon panels, and pencil skirts in leather, multicolor sequins and meteorite embroidery. I love Mathieu Mirano's nude and black leather boots accented with a gold toe and nude leather pump with contrasting black toe.
