Zimmermann Spring 2015 at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week

Zimmermann Spring 2015 is inspired by David Palladini's tarot card illustrations, featuring lace in pastels, foil lace, satin, gold and silver lurex and floral, marble and check prints. The collection had a feminine, bohemian flare with white dresses, flouncy pieces, asymmetrical cuts, tiered skirts, ruffles and pleats with lots of layering and voluminous silhouettes.

The collection was accessorized with lunar sandals in midnight and solar sandals in burgundy and gold and silver shoulder bags and clutches.

Desigual Spring / Summer 2015 at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week

Desigual Spring / Summer 2015, designed by Christian Lacroix, is inspired by nature's flora and fauna, presenting a colorful, multi-cultural bouquet. The collection focuses on warm weather with daisies in bloom, desert roses, tropical hibiscus and Mexican dahlias; flowers freshly cut from an imaginary garden.

The collection is a blossoming kaleidoscope, inspiring happiness, one bloom at a time, with jade, white and onyx tones filled with poppy red, saffron, and teal. Amongst the colorful prints were neutral tones, including a black and white kaleidoscopic mini, A-line tank dress, embroidered tulle tops (I love this paired with the crinkle chiffon kimono jacket) and a black lace top with contrasting scallop crochet detailing.

Desigual for me is always the most playful, fun and colorful of shows, with Adriana Lima hitting the runway with the opening and closing looks.

Mara Hoffman Spring 2015 at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week

Mara Hoffman’s show is always stunning but this season, her crisp whites and bright colorful accents really popped. For Spring 2015 she has a mix of fun yellows, pinks and blues on matching separates for day and night, flowing maxi dresses, tailored shorts and unique bathing suits. Desert sunsets and a beachy vibe were two prominent inspirations you could see throughout her show. Any attention grabbing, bold fashionista would be the first one to pick up any of these statement pieces from Hoffman’s collection this season.

Nicholas K Spring / Summer 2015 at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week

Nicholas K Spring / Summer 2015 is inspired by Swiss explorer Isabelle Eberhardt in the early 1900s. The collection is utilitarian and Sahara Desert chic with draped tops, scrunched-up cargo pants, tank dresses and jumpers in lightweight layers of silk, satin cotton and jersey knits fabrics. The palette includes olive, khaki, off white, cream, black and turquoise.

Leather accents can be seen on sweaters, leggings and pants. Nicholas K always has incredible leather pieces, with my favorite piece being the black leather jacket. There was also one dress that caught my eye, since it was made with Pilot Pens across the front. Accessories included one-shoulder bags, head wraps, horse hair jewelry by Victoria Simes, watches by Casio G-Shock, eyewear by Julbo, belts by Rilleau Leather and lace-up heels by Kiyoon Baek x Nicholas K.

Since Nicholas K is one of my favorite designers, I've never missed their fashion show since they've been showing at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. One thing that was missing from the runway were menswear looks, with the sole focus on their women's collection.
