#DReadeLOOK Tweetup at the Duane Reade LOOK Boutique

On Friday, April 13th, I met up with fellow bloggers at the Duane Reade LOOK boutique located at 40 Wall Street. During the #DReadeLOOK tweetup, I indulged in a unique beauty experience while exploring all the brands the LOOK boutique offers.

I couldn't think of a better way to spend my Friday evening, first starting out with a shampoo, blow out and styling with natural, loose waves, using Phyto hair care products - Thank you Tania, my hair looked amazing! Next I got my nails polished at the nail bar with essie's Too Too Hot. Thank you Carmen! For my last beauty treatment I headed over to the makeup station for a touchup - many thanks Asha! The LOOK boutique also offers eyebrow shaping, eyelash extension applications and skincare analysis consultations.

I know I'll be back to shop the plethora of beauty brands at the LOOK boutique, including Blow hair care, Vichy Laboratoires skincare, Pop Beauty, Borghese and Becca Cosmetics.

Also, if you happen to get thirsty or hungry while getting your beauty fix, there happens to be a sush and smoothie bar at this Duane Reade location. It really is one-stop shopping in here! Thank you Duane Reade for hosting the #DReadeLOOK tweetup!

Beauty Fun with Celebrity Makeup Artist Sam Fine at Duane Reade

Thursday, November 4th was a rainy, event-filled evening, with my 3rd stop at the Duane Reade at 1350 Broadway for an exclusive beauty event with celebrity makeup artist Sam Fine. I got there toward the end, but just in time to pick up some beauty tips from Sam.

Now what I love is that Sam started dishing out some beauty tips before I even got to ask! He complimented me on my eyebrows and I told him I felt that I couldn't get enough of an arch out of them. He gave me a quick and easy tip - comb my eyebrows upward and trim the longer hairs.

I asked him what his choice mascara is and Sam recommended L'Oreal Voluminous Mascara, which I already have, but haven't gotten around to trying yet. I told Sam I was all about Maybelline's Volum’ Express “The Falsies” Mascara - I think it really gives that illusion of having false lashes!

Sam and I, surrounded by a ton of beauty products!

If you haven't been to any of the remodeled Duane Reades in the city, you should definitely head over to one. You'll find a whole floor devoted to prestige beauty and skincare brands, including brands that you wouldn't normally find in your neighborhood drug store.

Here are some of Sam's favorites including Iman Cosmetics, Becca Cosmetics, Maybelline, L'Oreal and CoverGirl.

At the end of the event, attendees were given a $25 Duane Reade gift card. I haven't decided what I'm spending my $25 on just yet. I definitely need to go back and pick up some eyeliner, clear mascara, as Sam suggested and new nail polish color!
