Hard Candy Fall/Holiday 2016

Here's a look at Hard Candy's Fall /Holiday Collection, including everything from cosmetics and cosmetic bags to the new optical line, with sunglasses, readers and cases. 

There was a ton of new products released, including the Glamoflauge Mix-in Pigment Makeup Drops, which you can easily add to your moisturizer or primer and add more drops for more coverage. One of my new favorites is definitely the Velvet Mousse Matte Lip Color in both the Dahlia and Truffle shades. Usually a matte lip isn't one of my favorites since tends to be drying, but I love the creamy texture with this one, paired perfectly with the Blooming Lip Oil. 

I am so obsessed with the Smokey Eye Shadow Primer! It acts as an amazing base for a smoky eye, and it stays on for hours! I am also excited to try the Look Pro! Ultimate Contour and Sculpt Kit. I'm not the best when it comes to contouring, and I love how this kit comes with a tutorial guide so you know what to use and where to blend it. I prefer a more natural look when it comes to blush, which is why I love the Cheeky Tints sheer blush gel.

The sunglasses and readers are available in an assortment of colors including purple, pink and red, along with eyewear cases in fun prints.

Take a look below at some of the handbag styles that are available at the sale, as well as a glimpse of what I saw at the sale, including the full price list. 

I got the Maddie shoes in light gold/black dusted metallic leather/shiny for $50 (retails for $225). Before you start splurging on this sale, I encourage you to look at other online shops first! I just saw this pair for $39.98 through jet.com! With shipping the price would have been about the same but ugh I could have gotten a size 5 instead of the 5 1/2 I settled for!  I also got the Mollie in black lamba with light gold studs for $75, which retails for $350. 

I also got 3 necklaces and one pair of earrings for $15 each (see image below). One of the necklaces had retailed for $68. In the past, the jewelry had been $10 at the sample sale. There was a line when I got there around 6:45pm, but it moved really quickly. I didn't even get to look at the clothes. I just focused on shoes and jewelry but maybe I'll go back!

Backstage at Zang Toi Spring / Summer 2017 at NYFW

 

Backstage at Zang Toi Spring/Summer 2017 at NYFW, Eiji Yamane, Lead Stylist for Macadamia Professional, created the Perfectly Parisian hair look for the show.

Check out the Step-by-Step tips on how to get the Perfectly Parisian look:

1. Evenly distribute Macadamia Professional Blow Dry Lotion, section hair and blow dry.

2. Part hair over the left eye moving diagonally to the right side of the head, stopping at the crown.

3. Pull back into a low ponytail at the nape of the neck - pulling tightly to ensure the top of the head is smooth and sleek. Using a curling iron, curl the entire ponytail at once to give slight softness and movement.

4. Separate ponytail into two sections. Take the left section and curling up; create a large loop, showcasing the curls in the newly defined loose bun. Secure with bobby pins and spray with Macadamia Professional Style Lock Strong Hold Hairspray to lock in place. 

5. Repeat step 4 with the right section of the ponytail, to create a loose, chic double chignon.

6. Using a comb, gently smooth out all the hair that is pulled back one last time and spray Macadamia Professional Style Lock Strong Hold Hairspray to tame any flyaways and to provide lasting hold. 

7. To complete the look, liberally spray Macadamia Professional Weightless Moisture Dry Oil Micro Mist for added shine.
