Magnolia Bakery 20th Birthday Party & Limited Edition Peanut Butter Banana Pudding

On Tuesday, August 23rd, I celebrated Magnolia Bakery's 20th Birthday, with a special unveiling of the newest banana pudding flavor, peanut butter! The new flavor, just in time to also celebrate National Banana Pudding Day, is peanut butter blended with vanilla pudding and layered with Nabisco Nutter Butter wafers, bananas and crusted dry roasted salted peanuts. The limited edition flavor is only available for five days, through Sunday, August 28th in small ($3.75), medium ($5.50) and large ($6.75). Although you can't beat the original, I hope this flavor decides to stick around longer as I'm sure it will be a hit with Magnolia Bakery fans!

During the celebration, guests previewed scallop border, confetti, ombre rosettes and naked red velvet cakes, and sampled mini cupcakes, and birthday-themed funfetti cookies, whoopie pies, and ice cream sandwiches.

Not only did I get to enjoy delicious cupcakes (oooooh that buttercream icing!) with my prosecco, I got to learn how to frost cupcakes just the way Magnolia Bakery does! At the DIY cupcake station, I picked up some key icing techniques while learning how to frost a rose and scalloped petals on cupcakes and adding glitter and sprinkles. Magnolia Bakery does hold classes, so you can check out the schedule on their website at magnoliabakery.com

If you've never had any desserts from Magnolia Bakery, I definitely recommend you try something! They have much more to offer in-store than the desserts I just mentioned, such as pies, brownies, and blueberry cobbler.
