Nicholas K Fall/Winter 2016 at New York Fashion Week


Nicholas K Fall/Winter 2016 collection titled "Arcosanti" is inspired by Paolo Soleri's "arcology", the fusion of architecture and ecology.  

The palette consists of Monsoon, Aubergine, Night Shade, Amethyst,Iris, Mauve, Earth, Desert, Dunes, Black, Carbon, Smoke and Dust.

"Arcosanti" features off the shoulder reversible silk and knitted dresses, tailored slightly flared trousers, high waisted belts, 70s silhouette, covertible 2 way shirts, dressses, skirts and bags, tunics, ponchos, kaftans, leather wrap skull caps, wrap high waisted belts and hand carved hair picks.

Fabrications include silk velvet jumpers, coats, pants and shirtings, pony fur (cow) and lambskin combo jackets and accessories, pony fur nomad slippers, belts and bags, silk cotton shirtings and dresses, woven nomad dobby kaftans, ponchos and scarfs, stretch silk satin dresses, super fine Australian wool suiting, peached cotton/nylon, shadow stripe wool coats, abstract check wool coats, herringbone striped shirting, merino wool, slinky jersey, and Peruvian alpaca sweaters. Jewelry is by Huntress x Nicholas K and accessories are by Nicholas K. 

The Macadamia Professional team created The Under-Chin Side Knot for the show, with lead stylist Giannadrea Marongui. The Night Shade makeup look was created by Sarah Lucero for Stila, and nails including gloss polish with black velvet dipped tips were created by Elle Gerstein for Dermelect.
