Ultimate Comfort Walking in OOFOS

Top: BCBGMAXAZRIA
Skirt: BCBGMAXAZRIA
Sunglasses: Just Cavalli
Necklace: LOFT
Sandals: OOFOS

A few weeks ago I visited a Sunflower farm and new it wasn't the best place to be wearing heels. So what could I wear that would go with my Sunday outfit? My OOFOS OOlala sandals in Black/Latte. I've been wearing OOFOS for the second half of the summer, and they are super comfortable and lightweight for walking around the city all day and were perfect for walking through dirt and grass. My sandals did pick up a lot of dirt and guess what? I easily rinsed them off under cold water and they were as good as new. Since they are made with a moisture and bacteria-resistant closed cell foam, you can get them wet all you want by even wearing them in the shower or even throwing them in the washing machine (just make sure you don't put them in the dryer).

This new OOlala style from OOFOS has a glossy, slim silhouette. It is made with OOfoam technology and a patented footbed design that absorbs impact, cradles your arches and allows you to move naturally. It absorbs more shock than traditional foams. These sandals feel like memory foam for your feet and are as light as air.

I love how it gives me some elevation and isn't completely flat. When I'm running all over the city and switch from heels to my OOFOS OOlala sandals, I don't get the heel and calf pain I feel when I switch from heels to a regular pair of flat shoes. Ever since I started wearing these sandals I find it hard to go back to regular flat sandals. These sandals really reduce stress on sore feet, knees and back. I actually feel like they are massaging my feet when I walk in them. Also, I wear a size 5 and these fit perfectly, running true to size.

I really hope OOFOS can create other styles, such as a ballet flat or a strappy wedge. If I could wear these sandals all year round I definitely would. My OOlala sandals in black has been my everyday pair that goes with everything, but I also love switching it up in Latte or Chrome. It's sad to have to put them away since it's getting cooler outside, but for anyone going on vacation or living in warmer climates I definitely recommend these sandals.

Zang Toi Spring 2016 at New York Fashion Week

Zang Toi Spring 2016 collection "Splendor of Santorini" is inspired by his recent trip to the glamorous island in Greece. The collection reflects the Cycladic architecture on the island, whitewashed villages and the brilliant shades of the Aegean Sea. The palette centers on white, saturated with hues of Ocean Blue and Green for the cocktail and evening looks. Fabrics include couture cotton, silk jersey and woven silk. The collection features stilettos by Zang Toi Heels. Models walked the runway in white floppy hats by Eric Javits.

Attendees spotted at the show included Patti LaBelle, Nene Leaks and Orange is the New Black stars Jackie Cruz and Diane Guerrero.

Backstage at Zang Toi Spring 2016 at New York Fashion Week

Backstage at Zang Toi Spring 2016 at Skylight at Moynihan Station at New York Fashion Week, Lead Stylist for Macadamia Professional, Eiji Yamane created the hair looks for the show, along with makeup by BeautybyRudy for Ubati and manicures by Lead Manicurist for Zoya Nail Polish, Cinnamon Bowser.

For the Greek Isles inspired "Splendor of Santorini" collection, Eiji Yamane created the "Straight and Narrow" hairstyle with a distinct center part and long, sleek, shiny locks. Follow these steps to create this hair look at home:

1. Slightly dampen hair with water and create a center part all the way to the highest point of the head and evenly distribute Macadamia Professional Blow Dry Lotion through the root to the ends.

2. Take back large sections and blow dry with a diffuser and the Macadamia Professional Boar Bristle Paddle Brush.

3. In one inch sections, run a flat iron to straighten all hair and then apply Macadamia Professional Nourishing Moisture Oil Spray to create a sleek, lustrous effect.

4. To add fullness and length, clip on extensions starting just behind the top of one ear, moving across the back of the head until you reach the same spot behind the other ear.

5. Once extensions are in place, gather large sections and run a straightener through one last time to blend the real hair and extensions together.

6. Spray Macadamia Professional Weightless Moisture Dry Oil Micro Mist to boost shine and finish with a touch of the Macadamia Professional Flex Hold Shaping Hairspray to tame flyaways and provide light hold.

Master Makeup Artist, Rudy Miles created a fresh yet sophisticated look for the show. Here's how to get the look:

PREP
Apply Pore Minimizing Face Primer to a clean face to help create an even, smooth canvas, without adding oiliness to the skin.

COMPLEXION
Apply Pure Radiance Liquid Foundation to the face for a healthy, hydrated, radiant skin finish. Layer Defining Foundation Stick in appropriate shade for more coverage, as needed, to even the skin. Highlight high on the cheekbones and along the bridge of the nose with Defining Foundation Stick in Luminizer. Set foundation by lightly powdering with Illuminating Baked Powder.

EYES
Apply Long lasting Eye Primer to entire lid for a crease resistant, long lasting wear. Apply Multi-Reflective Metallic Shadow in Sandy Peach from lash line to a fade ablove the crease. Line entire upper lash line and outer 2/3rds of lower lash line with Defining Gel Eye Liner in Splendor, then extend line as cat eye at outer corner. Set & intensify Liner with True Matte Eye Shadow in Midnight Blue.

BROWS
Softly enhance & groom brows using Brow Perfecting Balm.

LASHES
Apply 2 to 3 coats of Keratin-Infused Waterproof Mascara in Black.

CHEEKS
Contour the cheeks lightly with Bronze Baked Powder in Fiji. Add radiance high on the cheekbones using Illuminating Baked Powder in Satin Glow

LIPS
Add shine to lips with V.I.P. Gloss in Santorini.

Skin Care Favorite: SK-II Facial Treatment Essence-Eye

During New York Fashion Week, the SK-II Essential Power Eye Cream was my favorite beauty item featured at the Bloomingdale's Vanity Bar. It's great to have the sample size for my upcoming out-of-town travel.

Now I'm a big fan of SK-II's Facial Treatment Essence and Facial Treatment Mask - they are two of my all-time favorite skincare products. I truly believe Pitera is a miracle ingredient, so it's no wonder that I'd also be using the new Facial Treatment Essence-Eye, which combines the power of Pitera with Albus Eye Complex to target dark eye circles and fine lines around the eyes. I often end up getting as little as 3-4 hours sleep a night so I am constantly worried about dark circles under my eyes. The Facial Treatment Essence-Eye helps lighten any circles that may form around my eye area and definitely helps my eyes look brighter when I use it with the Facial Treatment Essence.

Rodial Dinner Hosted by Maria Hatzistefanis & Hanneli Mustaparta During New York Fashion Week

Hanneli Mustaparta and Maria Hatzistefanis

On September 13th, founder of Rodial, Maria Hatzistefanis and Hanneli Mustaparta hosted a private dinner for friends at 58 Gansevoort for New York Fashion Week. Guests enjoyed cocktails and dinner by The Fat Radish. Guests included Hanneli Mustaparta, Max Vadukul, Amirah Kassem, Scott Lipps, Carly Steel and Liz Bacelar.

It was lovely to meet both Maria and Hanneli. The dinner was absolutely delicious. My favorite dish was easily the first course - Local Fluke Crudo with Chili Pickled Spring Onions. Guests received a beautiful Rodial Instaglam Compact Deluxe Bronzing Powder to get through fashion week with an extra sun-kissed glow.

Desigual Spring/Summer 2016 at New York Fashion Week

Desigual Spring/Summer 2016 focuses on the streets of Barcelona and free-spirited, bold, independent and joyful women who inhabit the city with confidence and authenticity. The collection was shown in waves, with three women in mind. Opening the show was the carefree eccentric with a casual, sporty look: eye-popping prints, leisurely tailoring and sophisticated sneakers. The second wave featured the eclectic sensualist, with oversized shirt over a mini-dress or a draped sweater around the neck as a scarf, layered with vivid florals and abstract pattern brushstrokes. Lastly is the sophisticated intellectual, with elongated, structured silhouettes and detailed textures.
