Rent the Runway Sample Sale

The Rent the Runway Sample Sale started today! Check out the dresses I got at the sale at amazing prices! This sample sale came around at the right time, since I needed a dress for the #Beauty20 Awards tomorrow night. This Robert Rodriguez Cap Sleeve Mini was the perfect choice, especially since I don't even have to tailor it.

Since the racks at the sample sale are by size, it was so much easier for me to sift through the 0/XS racks and just grab a dozen dresses to try on. I definitely recommend stopping by this sale. In my opinion, pricing is cheaper than it has been in the past. You can easily find dresses priced under $100 and as low as $50.

Betsy Elisa Beauty Bar at New York Fashion Week

Betsy Reyes and Elisa Tallerico kicked off the official launch of the Betsy Elisa Inc. Beauty Bar from from September 3rd through the 11th, at The Trump International Towers during New York Fashion Week. During scheduled appointments at the Betsy Elisa Beauty Bar, members of the media, VIPs and celebrity guests got prepped for fashion shows and events with complimentary hair and makeup services.

Betsy Elisa Inc. (BE) is an on-demand, on-site, red-carpet ready beauty boutique. Betsy and Elisa both started working together 14 years ago at MTV; where they continue to run and operate MTV's beauty department. Betsy Elisa's on-location, at-your-door-beauty and hair services allows their clients to BE red-carpet ready anywhere they go, any day of the week.

I really enjoyed the one-on-one experience with Betsy and Elisa, as there weren't any distractions or crowds of people. I was just able to relax and enjoy champagne and cupcakes while getting to know Betsy and Elisa, who are both incredibly sweet and focused on making you look beautiful! Many thanks to both Betsy and Elisa for having me experience the Beauty Bar!

The Betsy Elisa Beauty Bar was sponsored by Boscia, Curly Tee, Grab The Gold, Hipsy, Kalu, Hempz, Nioxin, William Wolf, Mario Badescu and Spornette.

Check out my interview with Betsy and Elisa as they discuss their official launch of Betsy Elisa, as well as their favorite fashion week makeup and hair tips and products.

NYFW Style Stop

On September 8th, I started my morning at the NYFW Style Stop at the Empire Hotel during New York Fashion Week. West Hollywood based salon, Benjamin, offered dry styling based on six different looks - The Artist (top knot bun), The Princess, The Lady, The Lover (messy french braid), The Dancer (low bun) and the Rebel (half up, half down with a top knot bun). I went with The Lady, a messy, low ponytail styled to one side. Benjamin has plans to open a salon in NYC soon, so I can't am looking forward to that!

Lounge guests also met with brands, including Bite Beauty, She + Lo, Poppin, Happy Plugs and Stella & Dot, and indulged in essie manicures from Hint Water.

I have yet to visit the Bite Beauty Lip Lab in Soho, but was super excited to experience making my own lipstick at the Style Stop. All I had to do is pick one of Bite Beauty's bold lipstick shades and then watched the entire process, from creating the mixture, pouring it into the mold and then letting it harden, resulting in the perfect tube of lipstick. I went with #9, a bold red.

She + Lo showcased their Fall 2014 collection of leather handbags, designed by Los Angeles designers Sheila Nazarian and Laura Darrah. She + Lo handbags are made of buttery soft leather, from mini satchels and mini messenger bags to crossbody bags.

Poppin previewed their latest office supplies, from trays and large envelopes to notebooks. Poppin is known for their bright colors, and have now added silver and gold into their palettte.

I first met Swedish brand Happy Plugs during CE Week this summer, and are known for their earbuds in a variety of colors. I especially love the rose gold pair, and find them to be very comfortable.

Stella & Dot showcased their new Keep Collective brand, which focuses on customizing leather wrap bracelets by choosing your bracelet color and selecting from over 300 charms.
