Check out 9 favorite Divine Chocolate bars that Beer Activist Chris O'Brien paired with local beers from the New York City area. Emmy Rossum Mani by butter LONDON

For my weekend mani, I took nailspiration from Van Gogh and Emmy Rossum's latest butter LONDON manicure created by Gloal Colour Ambassador, Katie Jane Hughes.

Nail Look How To:
· Katie began by applying butter LONDON’s Patent Gel Top & Tails for a chip-free and long lasting wear.
· Katie then applied two coats of butter LONDON Nail Lacquer in Royal Navy, followed by a layer of Nail Lacquer in Leccy.
· To add more dimension to the nail, Katie then used saran wrap to speckle butter LONDON Nail Lacquer in Diamond Geezer over the nail.
· The look was finished with the Patent Gel Top & Tails and a dab of butter LONDON Handbag Holiday Cuticle Oil.

This was actually the first time I used saran wrap to speckle and it turned out great! For my mani I used butter LONDON Nail Lacquer in Bluecoat, followed by Nail Lacquer in Leccy and speckled with essie No Place Like Chrome.

Dyson Digital Slim™ DC59 Cordless Vacuum Launch

On January 19th, Dyson launched the Dyson Digital Slim™ DC59 vacuum, which sucks up just as much dust as a conventional vacuum, without the hassle of a cord.

The DC59 features integrated motor technology - a V6 digital motor with three times more suction power than any other cordless vacuum and 50% more powerful than its predecessor, V2. The V6 Dyson digital motor spins at up to 110,000rpm - 5 times faster than a Formula 1 racecar engine! It also has 2 Tier Radial™ cyclones, is tough on dust and dirt and is light, versatile and easy to store.

Integrated motor technology: The new V6 motor was engineered specifically for this machine. One and a half times more powerful than the previous motor, it draws more power from the battery source. Nothing wasted.

2 Tier Radial™ cyclones: 15 cyclones work in parallel across two tiers to capture fine dust. Dyson engineers ensured an equal flow of air throughout the cyclone pack, by engineering the airways, to guarantee constant centrifugal forces and high dust separation.

Tough on dust and dirt: A newly configured motorhead tackles dust and dirt on any surface. Carbon fiber antistatic bristles reduce the build-up of static charge, aiding capture of fine dust on hard floors. Nylon bristles work to trap ground-in dirt from carpets.

Light, versatile and easy to store: A small, light, power dense motor in the hand, instead of at the floor, makes it easy to clean up top, down low and in between spaces. The lightweight aluminum wand can be detached for stairs, upholstery, cars and other compact spaces. And storage is hassle free with a wall mounted docking station.

Dyson Digital Slim™ DC59 key points:
  • Clean time: 26 minutes
  • Hygienic bin emptying: just push the button to release the dirt directly into the bin
  • Energy Star Rating: The machine's battery charger has qualified for the Energy Star rating, due to its energy efficiency.
  • Weight: 4.65 lbs.
  • Guarantee: The machine comes with a 2 year parts and labor warranty.
  • Price: $499.99
  • Availability: Now available at select retailers and online at dyson.com, target.combedbathandbeyond.com, nordstrom.com and overstock.com.

Here's a look at the Dyson Digital Slim™ DC59 in action at the preview. I can't wait to clean at home with it!

Some of my favorites from ShoeDazzle include peep-toe ankle booties like the vintage glam Alecia by Madison ($45.95) with bow accent and Cacee by Madison with colorblocked ruffle detailing ($49.95). For the reptilian trend, I recommend the Tiya by Sophia & Lee ($54.95) sandal and Nafessa by Scene (49.95) cage bootie. The Hurst minaudière ($54.95) and Jemison shoulder bag ($39.95) with gold hardware are also at the top of my list. ShoeDazzle is having a special offer for joining VIP Elite: 50% off any full-price style and free shipping.

2014 is the year to embrace beauty oils and discover the multitude of benefits they offer for skin, hair, and body. Comprised of lightweight oil blends and enriched with antioxidants, today's beauty oils can cleanse, hydrate, and even offer treatment benefits to all skin types - without a heavy, greasy residue.

No matter what your looking for, Sephora can help you navigate its extensive selection of oils from today's top brands. Start with their expert recommendations below, head in-store for a Skincare iQ consultation, a Sephora Personal Beauty Consultation, or simply log on to Sephora.com to find out what others are saying in the Ratings and Reviews

OILS TO CLEANSE
Washing with a cleansing oil is one of the most delicate and effective ways to remove makeup and impurities from the skin. Try one formulated for all skin types, like Josie Maran Cleansing Oil ($32). This multi-tasking, non-greasy blend of almond, argan, safflower, and grape seed oils cleanse the skin’s surface to renew the complexion and leave it healthy-looking and refreshed.

OILS TO HYDRATE
Dry skin and oils are a natural match, but did you know that applying the right oil to oily skin can help manage pore-clogging sebum, too? For best results, gently press oils onto the face – don’t rub. A great one for oily skin is Kate Somerville Dilo Oil Restorative Treatment ($65). Made from rare dilo oil from Fiji, this oil is rich in essential natural lipids that work in harmony with skin’s own lipid layer. The fast-absorbing oil helps to support the skin’s natural moisture barrier for deep hydration without pore-clogging residue or heaviness.

OILS TO REPLENISH
Because of their natural affinity to skin, oils efficiently deliver powerful antioxidants and other anti-aging ingredients to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Experiment by mixing oil with your foundation for additional moisture and skincare benefits. Algenist Advanced Anti-Aging Repairing Oil ($79) is a top pick formulated with microalgae oil, ceramides, and a brown algae extract, to deliver powerful antioxidants that visibly restore elasticity and leaves skin looking firmer and more supple.

OILS TO ADD RADIANCE
Not only do oils add hydration, they can boost radiance and give skin a “lit-from-within” warmth. The key is to apply your skincare in order of thickness, with the thinner formulas first. This usually means oil is applied after serum, but before moisturizer. A lightweight oil likeFresh Seaberry Moisturizing Face Oil ($50), comprised of pure seaberry, cranberry seed, camellia seed, grapeseed, and sweet almond oils, absorbs quickly and is packed with restorative omegas to maintain a youthful appearance.

OILS TO RESTORE STRANDS
Give winter-parched locks a boost of hydration, shine and frizz control with oils designed just for hair. Dry Bar 100 Proof Treatment Oil ($35) is a versatile option that mixes and layers easily with other hair products to bring dry, dull hair back to life without weighing it down.

OILS TO REVIVE THE BODY
The benefits of oils don’t stop at the neckline. Choose a silky smooth formula and lavishly apply all over the body, especially after a shower when skin is still damp. The subtly fragranced Caudalie Divine Oil ($49) contains moisturizing active ingredients plus antioxidant grape polyphenols and draining ginkgo biloba to leave skin firm and radiant.

The truth(s) about oils:

TRUTH 1: You can cleanse with oil.
Washing with cleansing oil is one of the most gentle but effective ways to remove makeup and impurities from your skin.

TRUTH 2: You can fight oil with oil.
Applying oil to already oily skin can help manage pore-clogging sebum (the skin-congesting opponent to clear skin).

TRUTH 3: You can be glowing, not greasy, with oil.
Oils deliver moisture and radiance, not residue.

TRUTH 4: You can curb signs of aging with oil.
Use oils to smoothly deliver powerful antioxidants and other antiaging ingredients to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

FOX's The Following: Interview with James Purefoy, Kevin Williamson and Valorie Curry

During New York Comic Con 2013 this past October, after The Following panel I sat down with James Purefoy (one of my favorite actors and incredibly charming), creator/executive producer Kevin Williamson and Valorie Curry.

First thing's first - I had to start off the interview asking James Purefoy who his leather jacket was by and he filled me in on his shopping trip. Major retailer fashion faux pas. I'm sure they are kicking themselves now. Watch the video to find out what happened!

Now for the question on everyone's mind - is Joe Carroll really dead? We couldn't get a straight yes or no answer from the cast but my guess would be no. I highly doubt a mastermind like Joe Carroll could be killed off so easily.

The Following returns to FOX with a special preview on January 19th after the NFC Championship and then on Mondays at 9/8c starting January 27th.

Check out my full interview with James Purefoy, as he also discusses Joe's character as a sociopath.

Kevin Williamson talks about the writing process for The Following and touches on Joe Carroll as a sociopath and how he influences people.

Valorie Curry talks about Emma Hill's character on The Following

I couldn't leave without a picture with James!

For more on The Following Season 2, check out my interviews with Kevin Bacon and Shawn Ashmore as well as Connie Nielsen and Marcos Siega. Click here for clips from The Following New York Comic Con  2013 panel.
