Monika Chiang Fall 2012

"For Fall 2012, I was inspired by the jolt of the senses experienced when seemingly contradictory elements combine in unexpected ways, whether it be Jeff Koons' groundbreaking exhibition at Versailles, the eclecticism of Daisy Fellowes, the facade of the Dresden Military Museum or the work of acclaimed architect Zaha Hadid" - Monika Chiang

Monika Chiang Fall 2012 combines modern elegance with an edgy rock-n-roll vibe - feminine, yet strong. I immediately fell in love with all the leather that dominated the collection, including leather leggings with suede panels, shorts, mini skirt, full zip ankle skirt and bodysuit. Aside from the leather pieces, my favorite piece is the felted funnel neck coat - I just love the oversized zip.

Accessories include alligator mini cross bags, clutches, hobos and chain minaudieres and two-tone leather opera gloves. The shoes are sexy and chic, from leather pumps with ankle straps, pumps worn with leather spats and my favorite shoe - a pump with a bent spiked heel that would be sure to add some height to my petite frame.

Makeup: Tarek Abbas for Lancome
Hair: Jon Reyman for Aveda

Makeup centered around a soft and natural look, with slight eye definition and a nude gloss on the lips. Hair was styled with a "day after" texture.
