Enter the SOREL Fearless Women Twitter Contest through November 3rd. The contest features SOREL's Cate the Great™ boot, which I love to wear with a sweater and denim leggings for those rainy or snowy cold days. This boot honors Catherine the Great, who ruled Russia as a single woman, expanding and modernizing the empire.

The waterproof full grain and suede upper is whipstitched by hand and features faux fur around the cuff. A plush recycled felt InnerBoot and bonded felt frost plug combine to keep feet warm down to -25ยบ below zero.

Donna Morgan Fall / Holiday 2011

Left: Cap Sleeved A-line Scuba Ponte Dress, $155, Petite sizing available
Right:
Drop Waist Ponte Sheath Dress, $155

Donna Morgan Fall / Holiday 2011 includes shorter and longer length dresses, suitable for the office followed by an evening out. The palette includes eggplant, navy, red, blue, olive, black and assorted prints. Several of the dresses in the collection have pleating, ruching or side-tie details.

Both sheath and shift dresses are popular styles for Donna Morgan, but my favorite dress for fall is the cap sleeved A-line scuba ponte dress. It has a great fit for someone petite like me, and I love the leather pocket detail. This dress looks great with pumps or ankle boots!

Donna Morgan is sold at Nordstrom, Macy's and Belk. The dresses range from sizes 2-16, with select styles available in petite sizing.

Julie Dillon Fall 2011

I recently became familiar with Julie Dillon, a modern, contemporary line sold at Nordstrom and nordstrom.com. The dresses are soft, romantic and feminine, often with ruffle and draping details. Julie Dillon embraces bold colors and prints in flattering silhouettes. Being petite as I am, I look for dresses that fall above-the-knee and accentuate the waist. Julie Dillon is carried in sizes 0-12 and usually ranges between $158-$198.

Forever 21 Hologram Fashion Show and Pop-Up Shop

This morning I stopped by the Daryl Roth Theater to view the Forever 21 Hologram Fashion Show, featuring models walking a virtual runway in the latest looks from Forever 21. I then headed downstairs to checkout Forever 21's first ever, one day pop-up shop. The pop-up shop reminded me of how affordably chic and on-trend Forever 21 is, especially with jewelry and tights priced at less than $6! I've been looking for lace pieces in the form of tights, tops, cropped jackets and skirts. Lace plays a big part at Forever 21 this fall, so it's definitely time to visit my local store!

RE:MIX LAB Fueled by Hyundai Veloster

Photo credit for all images: Lenny Emery

In celebration of those at the forefront of innovation, Hyundai Motor America customized three Velosters that were revealed on October 19th at the grand opening of RE:MIX Lab, a multi city festival of art, music, fashion, technology, culture and design. Built to embody Music, Technology and Gaming, each car was a featured masterpiece in the festival's principle installation, "Exhibits in Collaboration," at 410 West 16th Street. In the spirit of sharing and discovering new ideas, Hyundai introduced a YouTube channel dedicated to streaming content from future events as the series begins its travels from New York to Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Chicago and Miami.

Additionally, the evening included live performances by Darryl "DMC" McDaniels, Hoodie Allen, DJ Neil Armstrong, and Dean & Ravo. America's Next Top Model Camille McDonald was also onsite for the reveal.

The Gaming Veloster is appropriately green with black accents, custom body kit, carbon fiber trim and Sparco race seats. The rear hatch of the Gaming Veloster is equipped with a 40" TV that is connected to both Kinect and Xbox 360, with a high-speed internet connection supporting Xbox Live, plus additional consoles allowing eight players to simultaneously game in and around the car.

Launch of Eric Daman for DKNY Hosiery Fall 2011

Eric Daman and Kim Weling

On October 18th, I stopped by The Electric Room at The Dream Downtown on 355 W 16th St, to celebrate the launch of the DKNY Hosiery and Eric Daman Collaboration for Fall 2011.

The fashion and styling on Gossip Girl is one of the major reasons why I love the show, so I'm always excited to see what Gossip Girl costume designer Eric Daman has Serena van der Woodsen and Blair Waldorf wearing from week to week. Hosiery and tights can be an integral part of dressing up an outfit as well as keeping warm, especially for fall/winter, so I can definitely see the Gossip Girl cast wearing Eric Daman for DKNY hosiery.

The Eric Daman for DKNY hosiery capsule collection is inspired by New York City and includes full-length and over-the-knee tights in floral lace and vertical and textured knits. The price of the collection ranges from $15 to $24 and can be purchased at Bloomingdale’s, Nordstrom, DKNY and DKNY.com.

Veronica Brett Luxury Swimwear for Breast Cancer Survivors

As we continue to support Breast Cancer Awareness Month, I would like to focus on Veronica Brett, luxury swimwear designed especially for breast cancer survivors and women who have had risk-reducing mastectomies.

Designer and founder Patricia Brett had a risk-reducing bilateral mastectomy in 2003, after testing positive for the BRCA1 gene. Facing issues of buying swimwear after mastectomy and reconstruction inspired her to create this line, with survivors looking and feeling confident about themselves in their new swimwear.

Veronica Brett is made from the finest Italian swim fabrics. Each suit is designed to strategically cover surgical scars while still giving a semblance of cleavage. Interior pockets can conceal a prosthetic breast as well as properly fit a reconstructed breast. What I love about this swimwear is that although it is designed for breast cancer survivors, any woman can wear it and look and feel great!

Patricia named the brand after her aunt Veronica, who she had lost to breast cancer 35 years ago. Veronica Brett is "pink" year round, donating 10% of each swimwear sale to help support breast cancer research and organizations. For the month of October Veronica Brett is donating 20% of on-line sales to Women At Risk (WAR), the Breast Cancer Program at New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University Medical Center. WAR’s mission is to enhance the lives of women who are at high risk for the development of breast cancer, (and women with breast cancer) through research, education and support.

Here are the current styles from Veronica Brett. The convertible bandeau bikini provides additional neck coverage for women who have undergone radiation or may have a concavity of the chest due to a mastectomy. The multi-function top instantly transforms from strapless to halter to asymmetrical - so versatile!
Convertible Bandeau Bikini, $178 (sizes 2-16) and Sarong, $68 (sizes S, M , L)

My favorite is this popular one-piece halter - it's a sexy, modern classic that would look flattering on many body types!
Halter, $198 (sizes 2-16) and Wrap, $198 (sizes 4-18)

Bandeau, $198 and Pareo, $145
