Check Out the Icebreaker Touchlab Soho Store

Back on December 1st, 2010 I attended the launch of the Icebreaker Touchlab Soho store at 102 Wooster St, between Spring and Prince Streets.

Icebreaker is a New Zealand based outdoor apparel company specializing in merino wool fabrics, with layering products including underwear, tops, bottoms, outerwear and accessories.

During the VIP/media launch event, guests were able to choose their own Icebreaker garment to take home. I chose the Icebreaker_GT260 Rapid Zip, $169.99. This zip up has a slim, active fit with the XS being true to size. The breathable midweight fabric keeps me warm, especially in windy, cold weather. This would be suitable for mountain biking, trail running or alpine sports, but also works if you are just running around the city like me when it's 20 degrees out.

I think it's interesting how you can enter your "Icebreaker Baacode” located on the clothing tag. When you enter the unique Baacode online at, you can trace your garment to the rearing of the sheep that produced the merino fibre in your garment through to each stage of the supply chain process.
